We were lucky to catch up with Jonah Steuer recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jonah, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Learning anything takes both commitment and passion. There’s no way to speed up the learning process – the most rewarding part of learning is the excitement over slow and steady progress.
Jonah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a creator with a passion for making something out of nothing. I write groovy music & produce unique poetry out of old novels, I’ve been honing my craft for years, letting my talents develop and shift without putting pressure on myself.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’m just creating. I used to focus on recognition but in time realized the actual happiness came from the creation itself. I focus on producing my best work rather than hitting eyes & ears.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Being authentic. My main focus is being myself when writing or on stage. It puts me in my best mental space to make magic.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Best advice I have if you’re looking to build an audience is to just post. No fear of what others think. Just post.
