The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was to create a sacred space where I could explore my own freedom within the sanctuary of unconditional love. For most of my life, I felt tethered to the expectations and conditions set by others, unaware that I had the power to choose my own truth, my own desires. Love, as I knew it, always came with strings attached—its acceptance contingent on how well I fit into someone else’s mold.

But deep within, there was a quiet longing, a flicker of hope I never let die—the dream of living a life unbound, drenched in the authenticity of freedom and the purity of love that asks for nothing in return. This dream, though distant, was my constant companion, my guiding star.

The kindness extended to me wasn’t a grand gesture that came and went. It was a consistent, gentle presence—a steady rhythm of grace that rewrote the stories I told myself about what love could be. Through unwavering consistency, this act of kindness became a force of reprogramming, unraveling years of conditioning and inviting me into a new way of being.

I didn’t fully grasp its significance until one day, during one of my reflective rituals, it struck me with the force of a revelation. It was as though the weight of years dissolved in an instant, and in their place, waves of gratitude, safety, and profound love washed over me. I realized I was no longer caged but free to breathe, to speak, to create, and to exist as myself—no masks, no fear of rejection.

This gift was not just love—it was liberation. It was a mirror reminding me of the sacredness of my essence and a reminder that I, too, could embody and share this kind of love with others. It mattered so deeply because it wasn’t just an act of kindness; it was an act of soul-level recognition. It gave me back to myself, and that is a gift beyond measure.

My name is Jonah Belle, and my work isn’t just about healing—it’s about coming home to yourself. What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A profound lesson I had to unlearn is the belief that I am solely responsible for others’ healing and happiness. This conviction stemmed from my early experiences, where I felt deeply tied to the idea of guiding others—particularly my mother—back to their path and mission. I carried this sense of responsibility as if it were my own divine assignment, and it extended far beyond my immediate family. I felt a constant pull to ensure the well-being of those around me, believing that their healing and growth were somehow my burden to bear.

This mindset came from a place of love and deep empathy, but it also became a heavy weight. It shaped how I approached relationships, often leading me to overextend myself, neglect my own needs, and unintentionally disempower those I was trying to help. By taking on their pain, I wasn’t allowing them the opportunity to step into their own strength or take ownership of their healing journey.

Unlearning this belief was not easy—it required deep reflection and a willingness to challenge the patterns I had carried for so long. I had to learn that while my gifts allow me to hold space for others, facilitate healing, and offer guidance, the true work must always come from within the individual. My role is to be a guide, not a savior.

This realization was transformative. It allowed me to establish healthier boundaries, honor my own energy, and approach my work with greater balance. More importantly, it empowered me to hold space in a way that encourages others to reclaim their own power and take responsibility for their journeys.

Through this unlearning, I discovered the beauty of co-creation. Healing is not about one person doing all the work; it’s a partnership, a sacred dance between the individual, the energies at play, and the divine. Letting go of the need to “fix” others has not only liberated me but has also created deeper, more authentic, and empowering relationships with my clients and loved ones. It’s a lesson that continues to shape the way I live, love, and serve.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?

If I could go back, I don’t think my “profession” would change—I will always be a conduit for the divine to flow through. My work as an intuitive healer feels like an intrinsic part of who I am, not something I simply chose. It’s my calling, my purpose, and it flows naturally through me.

That said, if circumstances were different—or in lives where they have been—I know I would channel this divine flow more so through music, art, and musings. There’s something deeply poetic about expressing the divine through melody, brushstrokes, and words that stir the heart. I can feel the resonance of these creative channels within me, alive in overt ways even now, and I imagine how fulfilling it would be to live fully immersed in those rockstar, artist, and muse energies.

Ultimately, no matter the medium—whether through energy work, a song, a painting, or a piece of writing—my essence remains the same. The divine will always find its way to flow through me. If anything, reflecting on this reminds me to invite those creative facets of myself into my present life, allowing them to enrich the work I already do in unexpected and beautiful ways.
