We recently connected with Johnse Allende Jr. and have shared our conversation below.
Johnse, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Thanks to my acting coach Choice Skinner and the Breaking Through Acting Workshop – acting class, I was able to learn about myself and give myself permission to be great in a safe and growing environment. I wish I would’ve moved to Los Angeles California years ago knowing what I know now. I would say from my late teens to early twenties. I moved to LA in my mid twenties. Patience is the most essential skill to have in the acting business. I was able to be part of extraordinary projects. I’m grateful for experiencing each and every one of those jobs. The obstacle that stood in the way the most was not knowing enough about the industry but now I’m learning a lot about it….. from front of the camera work to back of the camera work.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started taking acting class in March of 2012 and rapidly fell in love. There I learned that I had all the tools within myself to continue to grow and expand as an artist through tv and film. I also had taken advantage of being bilingual because it expands the opportunities in the film and tv industry. I speak both English and Spanish and with the ability to speak in Spanish, it has expanded and extended my chances of being in front of the camera. I’m 100 percent Puerto Rican after all.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
That one role can lead to another role and I can act as long as I can have breath on earth. I can’t wait to embark on that journey.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Connecting with the world through artistry is not only a gift handed by God but also a privilege and there’s nothing better than to share the talent to act in front of the world.
