Johnnaisha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
The greatest thing I have done for 2 clients that were friend, was to help them celebrate their birthdays! I had decorate my suite, with balloons and a banner, gifted them birthday sash, and a gift of beauty supplies.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
How I got into the beauty industry is quit simple. I grew up watching my mommy provide hair services to everyone in the neighborhood.
Then ever other weekend my aunt Vetta would do my hair so I would be ready for school that Monday.
The beauty industry has always been around me.
Then once I entered 7th grade up until 12th grade I did my peers hair for home coming, prom, birthdays, etc!
Once I turned 20 years of age I entered into cosmetology school.
Then 3 months into school I found out I was pregnant and from there my determination kicked in full force!
I was determined not to be a statistic and to thrive past the odds, by making a skill I knew my whole life and turning it into a career.
I have been in business for 5 years as a Licensed Cosmetologist who Specialize in the health of the hair & scalp.
My service menu is focused around treatments for the hair before styling to ensure healthy hair growth!
I provide 7 Silk Press services & 7 braided styles.
I know what sets me apart from others in my industry is quit obviously when you come in contact with me.
And that is I care about people! I care to make a genuine connection with my customers. I make sure I get to know my clients and events that may be happening in their life so they can be ahead of any occasion when it comes to their hair.
In my salon we also have heart to heart sessions.
Because sometimes my clients may need a ear to listen or advice about situations besides hair. Therefore what better way to do so while getting pampered with Naisha Styles!
I also thrive to make sure I always show gratitude every single time a customer books a service, purchase a product or even referring another person to my salon.
The most thing I am proud of about my business is that I kept it running successfully for 5 years!
I am proud of myself for always staying a student to my craft at all, picking up opportunities when it comes to learning new techniques, skills, or information on my industry.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with my clients and foster brand loyalty two ways! I was taught by my mentor Torregano that my Social platform is to be use to be socially. With this I make sure I’m not just constantly forcing my clients to buy into my products or services, but to also let them know I am human like them.
I show them the ups the down, I show them that I am a mother, I am a wife, that I have a silly side, I’m a dog mom, and much more. I love to be relatable to my ideal customers and I strive for them to know this. Having this mind set really help me have a long lasting clientele.
My second way is having a free app that my customers can download and use as if it was any other social platform. I stay connected with them through by keeping everyone updated on the beauty industry, health & wellness, & parenting.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
My most effective strategy for growing my clientele is giving. I give in a few ways and I would like to share 2 with you!
One way is by having a Rewards program. When my clients book a appointment, purchase a product or checkout at the end of their appointment they are rewarded with beauty bucks.
The beauty bucks will accumulate and they then can use them as cash however they would like with a service or product!
My second way is making sure I stay educated on a variety of topics. Once my client comes and get their hair done I always find a way to share knowledge and by doing this has my client constantly returning because not only are they getting a service but they also are getting knowledge.
