We were lucky to catch up with Johnathon & Tranelle Eskano recently and have shared our conversation below.
Johnathon & Tranelle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
We’ve always been in the party event business and loved bringing our original ideas to life. Our journey began in south Louisiana a city named Lafayette 2 hours away from New Orleans. We noticed the impact local party/event businesses were having on the common consumer’s pocket and thought it would be nice if someone offered this service at a more affordable rate. The idea truly came into fruition when we hosted a party for one of our kids and realized the cost was steadily climbing. A few months later after planning and understanding the market we launched Eskano’s Party Room!
Eskanos Party Room catered towards the perfect kids party and outdoor function at a reduced price. We worked for weeks meeting with wholesalers, venues, community events, parades, anything that would give us exposure going into this field.
We knew our target areas had to be the cities where parties were going to bring a crowd allowing mass exposure.
We began running social media advertisements targeting the city of New Orleans. 3 days into running our ads we landed the first of many events.
What set us apart from our competitors was our party packages. We narrowed down the key issues and eliminated the hidden cost for our customers. Our party packages allowed the average family to fulfill a party with everything need to give a successful party.
Along with a great product we didn’t compromise our customer service, quality, and know how.
We also learned ExKH=R ( energy-know how=results ).
Once we were able to get our feet wet we gained the trust of local vendors. This created prosperous relationships and catapulted us to new heights.
We maintained these core values here in Utah when we relaunched our business after Covid. We decided it was time to go a step further with Eskano’s Event Rentals.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
We are more personal when dealing with new or old clients. We value relationships and see endless opportunity for growth if nurtured properly. Direct communication vs prerecorded messages, emails, notifications is our focus. We aren’t opposed to stopping by businesses to have those natural conversations. This only allows us to naturally introduce ourselves as Mr & Mrs Eskano’s Event Rentals. Sending messages to owners directly vs paying for push notifications have proven to be most effective. As a business owner you have to keep in mind we are all human and prefer those direct connections.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Best source for new clients have been anywhere there are people! People love to celebrate love, new accomplishments, new unions, birthdays, corporate holidays, weddings, grand openings, you name it we will celebrate it. We focus on all platforms that will display our product for the public to see.
