We were lucky to catch up with John Tucker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi John , thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
My biggest risk in life was just chasing my dreams and never giving up on myself . Everyday is a risk for me because I chose a lifestyle that is not promised meaning I have to grind 10x harder for my brand . in my early days I used to take a lot of risks and I still do by just picking up that camera doing what I love everyday, I have being hungry for my goals , lonely , losing friends just to chase a dream no one can see so I think me following my dreams was my biggest risk.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey my name is John Tucker and I am a photographer and entrepreneur and I also do a lot of other things aside like event planning , director. I used to take photography in high school as an hobby but when I graduated I honestly didn’t know what I wanted to do cuz I wasn’t a fan of school but I loved taking pictures so I decided to get my first camera and started learning more about art then turned my hobby into a career couple of years later. what makes me apart from others is I put my personality into my art and I create what I vision I have my own creativity. I am also dropping a shoe this month January 28th this is something that means a lot to me and it’s called “ don’t forget to smile “ by pink gang which is my brand and I am really proud of myself for just doing this because it’s a dedication to my mom and what I have went thru in life.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy that worked for me growing my clientele was me going to networking events and just really going to places with my camera on me and people always coming up to me asking me for my contact info and also wanting to see my work.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I treat my clients like family so I always keep in touch with them thru text and social media also I invite them to my events
