We recently connected with John Harper and have shared our conversation below.
John , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I came up with the clothing brand one day sitting in my room thinking about how the spirit world lives on. My son passed in 2018 and felt like I had a mission to promote something that would change the culture. “Everyone Lives On” stems from life after death, the logo resembles a elephants head. I chose the elephant because they have been around for centuries and are timeless. My brand also inspires people to feel good about themselves overall. I plan to push “Everyone Lives On “ all over the world to promote awareness that you soon will see that special someone in heaven again someday; life continues on for everyone no matter what !

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well it all started from me being a actor / comedian and I wanted to have a brand to push while chasing my dreams as well. I’m originally from oak cliff born and raised in Dallas tx. I watched other clothing lines for while and even use to model some of those brands before I had my own! Everyone Lives On has become one of the hottest brands in the city ! I have brand ambassadors all over the world in over 10 cities. To accomplish this I had some long nights dealing with the logistics and overall marketing of the brand . We have everything from mouse pads to children’s shoes and so much more. I stand on my brand and I’m almost always coming up with new designs daily. My clothes are for everyone when creating the brand I always kept in mind I wanted more than just promoting in my own city. Everything I touch has to make sense meaning if I’m shooting a production I would most definitely have the brand on if permitted by the network. Nothing came over night , I have plenty of support from my inner circle and even new people I meet on a daily. I love to see the smiles on the Clients when they wear the brand . I’m very proud of myself because 2yrs ago I didn’t have a clue I would be where I am now. I believe in treating everyone with best service possible when purchasing a piece of E.L.O. I stand on excellence and providing the customer with all I can to build not only a continuous relationship but also to inspire them to go after what they want in life. People tell me all the time how they save my clothes for special occasions so to me I feel like the brand definitely is luxurious / designer in my mind . When I’m creating a piece I base it off what the customer is looking for and how they want to look overall. I design the logo with a company overseas and also have 3 logos within the brand . I’m never not creating something because I feel like once you stop working at greatness your putting a cap on your creativity and craft! They main goal for me and the brand is to spread happiness and love ! Our mission statement “ENJOY LIFE LIVE FOREVER “. Nothing comes without hardwork and the ambition to become great at what it is you are doing.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I started off designing the brand in my friends studio. So I had plenty of support when it came to people showing me the game. From there the capital gained from odd jobs like handyman work or working a 9-5 or even the people supporting me would invest without wanting nothing in return but seeing me grow . I’m very grateful for the system I have around me because without them I wouldn’t be making moves in the clothing industry. I also have the brand ambassadors in motion to keep capital going for everyone. They make 15% of each item and also have the options to get free items for supporting me. I never wanted to charge people outrageous prices for clothing that’s affordable for everyone. I definitely made sure I set a price point that would have customers and brand ambassadors coming back for more ! Now things aren’t always peaches and cream because it’s days I go without selling anything so I try to create as much as possible to keep the consumer wanting more. I also promote other businesses to fuel the brand for more exposure and capital. One thing I can tell you as long as you take care of the customer and your support system nothing can stop you from achieving success in the industry.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
So one day when I was shooting a commercial for a company I thought to myself why not wear my clothes when on camera! From there I stuck to wearing my E.L.O from shooting skits to promoting others businesses while wearing the brand. I noticed that having the logo in your face on all levels would overall get the buzz going to cross promote for more exposure which would lead to higher impressions across the board. If you’re building a brand on social media the best advice I have is to always wear it no matter what ! Keep your followers engaged by giving back and never forget they are the reason you poppin.
