Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to John Giorgio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
John, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
My family greatly influenced my wanting to pursue a creative path professionally. I grew up in a family of musicians and storytellers, so there was always a lot of support when wanting to do anything creative. Coming from a family with a background in music and entertainment, naturally, I gravitated toward artists and the like. I was in a 7th-grade science class sitting in the front of the class when my teacher brought out the old VCR and TV on the rolling cart and showed the class a parody “music video” that some kids in one of her other classes made for a science project. It was called All The Small Things and it was about cells. It was 4 or 5 guys sitting in a garage playing a cover of Blink 182’s All The Small Things but with the lyrics being mostly about cells. I was floored. I had to be friends with these guys so I set out to find them and join their band. So I did. And as it turned out, the drummer’s father and my father had also been in a band when they were our age. After that, I knew that I was going to be a creative/artist in the entertainment industry for the rest of my life. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of how my path has always been something innate.

John, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an actor, producer, and father. Much of my inspiration for my creative work comes from imagination and being intrigued by life. My company Giorgio Creatives LLC produces creative content that is meant to move audiences. As a producer, I direct actors, photography, and creative design to tell stories that resonate with specific audiences. I am most proud of the work I have done thus far in my career. I am looking forward to new and exciting developments in my field and working with new people. What sets me apart is my vision and imagination; it comes from my life experience and is unique to me.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My family. Taking care of my family so that they don’t have to worry about my not being with them. They are one of the most important things in my life and I do this for me, but also for them. I want to experience life with them and show them that they can do incredible things if the really want to. Whether they care or not if I am successful, I want to show them that doing what they love is the path to happiness.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When my daughter was born I had to make significant changes to the way I worked and the way I approached life. It was very hard for me to focus on work and family at the same time. I had to make sacrifices to be able to not hold resentment towards myself and my family. I had to learn new ways to work and new ways to live. Thanks to my wonderful wife, I have been able to focus my time on raising our daughters and giving my attention to my family. Without her, I wouldn’t be going where I am going. Thank you, my love.
