Hi Johanna, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?

I never thought I could make any money as a content creator since it is a pretty competitive field, over saturated! English is not my first language so when I made some money creating content in English it was a huge surprise for me! I made my first dollar on the LTK app which is a fashion app dominated by american girls ! I was in shock when I found out that somebody used my link to buy clothes !

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a beauty, lifestyle, fashion content creator! I create content in Spanish and English. I’m originally from Venezuela. I started my content creation journey almost a year ago !! I wish I would have done it sooner ! It has been super fun!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Yes! I came to the USA 11 years ago.. I came to study English with no future plans, no connections or money .. now I have a job, a family and a little business that brings me joy! Everything is possible !

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Yes I just want to represent all those women who came to the USA to make their dreams come true.. who didn’t know the language and now are trying to make a living here. It’s not easy to make content in a different language ! I want to be there for them !!
