We were lucky to catch up with Joe StucKEY recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Joe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
How I Started HisHeartLove
Honestly, HisHeartLove started long before I realized it was a brand it began as a feeling, a message that God placed on my heart. I remember sitting one night, reflecting on how divided and disconnected the world felt, and this thought hit me: What if there was a way to remind people that love still wins, that God’s love connects us all? That idea wouldn’t leave me alone. It started with me and my journey.
I grew up a gay black boy in a small country town, and to be honest, it was hard. I always felt different but didn’t have the words or the space to understand what that meant. There weren’t any examples around me, no one I could look to and think, “that’s me.” So, I learned early how to attempt to hide pieces of myself just to feel safe or accepted. Most days, I felt out of place like I was trying to live someone else’s life. I remember laying awake at night, praying to wake up normal, whatever that meant. I just wanted to belong. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t meant to blend in. I just didn’t fully know how to stand out yet.
Those years shaped me. They taught me empathy, but they also taught me survival. And over time, I found healing in the very thing I used to hide, my heart. I learned that there’s strength in softness, courage in being seen, and beauty in being real. Living with the weight of expectations as you’re evolving and finding out who you truly are can be paralyzing. That’s where HisHeartLove truly began from that space of pain, growth, and faith. From learning to LOVE myself and learning that GOD did and always will LOVE me. It’s more than a brand; it’s a piece of my story turned into something that can remind others they’re not alone.
Today, I carry that small-town boy with me in everything I do. He’s the reminder of how far I’ve come and why I keep going to build spaces where people feel seen, loved, and free to show up exactly as they are. Because love honest, unconditional love changes everything.
The next day, I shared the idea with a friend and after many pairings I wrote down three words: Inspire. Connect. Unite. I didn’t know it then, but those would become the heartbeat of HisHeartLove.com. I’m INSPIREd by fashion, we CONNECT over food and music is a universal UNITEr. I started sketching out ideas, praying over designs, and jotting down phrases that felt true to the message. Things like “Silence Speaks” “GOD is an artist”, “I AM LOVE”, etc. I wasn’t thinking about profit or marketing ,I was thinking about purpose.
From there, the process was equal parts faith and figuring it out. I had to learn how to turn an idea into something tangible by researching vendors, testing fabrics, learning design software, and building an online store from scratch. There were definitely moments of uncertainty, but I kept feeling this quiet reassurance that I was walking in obedience, not just entrepreneurship.
The first few months were full of trial and error, late nights, lots of prayer, and constant reminders to stay patient. Every small win felt huge: seeing the logo come to life, getting the first sample shirt, hearing someone say they wore it because it spoke to them. That’s when it really hit me this wasn’t just about clothing. It was about starting conversations around Faith, Love, and Unity in everyday spaces.
HisHeartLove has always been about more than fashion — it’s about reflection. It’s about wearing a message that reminds people they’re seen, loved, and connected through something bigger than themselves. God was teaching me how to build something with heart, for His glory.

Joe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Joe StucKEY — I often say I’m “The KEY to Your Real Estate Needs,” but beyond real estate, I’m a creative, connector, and faith-driven entrepreneur. I’ve always believed that purpose isn’t meant to fit neatly into one box it’s meant to overflow into everything we do. That belief is what led me to create HisHeartLove.com, a lifestyle brand that blends faith, fashion, and community under one mission: to Inspire. Connect. Unite. I also host my own semi quarterly popup market, The Curated Static Marketplace. Be sure to join The Party Where You Can Shop 10 Vendors A DJ and a Bartender. Follow @curatedstatic on Instagram. HisHeartLove.com was born out of a simple but powerful truth — God’s Love changes everything. I wanted to create something that didn’t just look good but also meant something. Every design, every message, every collaboration is rooted in the idea that when people experience God’s love, it inspires them to love others, to build connections, and to bring unity into spaces that often feel divided. Our products, from apparel and accessories to limited-edition collaborations and community events are meant to be conversation starters. They carry positive, faith-based messages that resonate across generations and backgrounds. It’s not just clothing; it’s a reminder that love is active, not passive. It’s something you wear, share, and live.
What sets HisHeartLove apart is authenticity and quality. We don’t chase trends we attract truth. We’re not pretending to be perfect or that we have it all figured out. That’s totally not the case. I’m 50 and still wake up some days like this is NOT what I planned or envisioned for my life. Everything we create is designed to encourage real people to live with purpose, kindness, and courage. I’m proud that our brand doesn’t just exist online; it shows up in real life through outreach efforts, pop-up experiences, and partnerships that bring people together around something bigger than themselves.
I’m also proud of the heart behind the brand HisHeartLove isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, healing, and hope. Whether someone wears a shirt, attends an event, or just comes across our message on social media, I want them to feel seen, valued, and reminded that God’s love is still alive and active in this world. At the end of the day, I want people to know that HisHeartLove.com is more than a logo, it’s a lifestyle. It’s about leading with love, walking in faith, and choosing to be a light in whatever space you’re in. That’s the message I live by, and that’s the heartbeat of everything I do.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
When I first started HisHeartLove, I didn’t have a background in manufacturing. I had a vision. I knew what I wanted people to feel when they saw or wore the brand: loved, inspired, and connected. The challenge was figuring out how to take that heart-driven message and translate it into high-quality products that reflected the same excellence and care that God shows us.
In the beginning, I started small. I researched vendors, tested local print shops, and ordered countless samples. Some shirts looked great but didn’t feel right. Some had the right fabric but the design quality wasn’t there. It took a lot of trial and error, late nights, and patience but I was determined to get it right. I wanted every piece to be something people could wear proudly, knowing it was made with intention and by my hands.
Eventually, I found vendors and partners who understood the vision not just as a business, but as a ministry through design. I built relationships with manufacturers who value quality, ethics, and consistency. That process taught me that manufacturing isn’t just about production , it’s about partnership. You need people who believe in what you’re building, not just what you’re selling.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that excellence takes time. You can’t rush something meant to represent purpose. Each delay, each misprint, each lesson along the way helped shape HisHeartLove.com into a brand built on faith, authenticity, and quality. Now, every product that goes out carries that same intentionality — from the message on the shirt to the fabric it’s printed on.
I started with faith and a willingness to learn. And honestly, that’s been the story of HisHeartLove from the start: trusting God with the vision and putting in the work to make it real. God blessed me to meet the people at AAA Digital Reprographics (Doraville) I’m so thankful for their continued support and guidance.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a moment early in the HisHeartLove journey when everything seemed to hit at once; delays, unexpected costs, missed deadlines, and doubts that crept in louder than my faith at times. I remember sitting at my desk one night staring at boxes of inventory that didn’t turn out the way I’d envisioned. I had poured time, energy, and money into something that felt like it had gone completely sideways. For a moment, I questioned if I’d misheard God, if maybe the dream wasn’t meant to be. At the same time I was working a full time job, being a caregiver and nurturing my other ventures. I felt that I’d failed miserably.
In that quiet space of frustration, I heard that still, small voice: “Don’t give up. This isn’t the end.” That changed everything. Instead of walking away, I leaned in. I went back to the drawing board, made the calls and started again with more faith, more focus, and more purpose than before. I’m excited that the movement continues to evolve and reach so many. I’ve had clients email or call and say, “I love what the brand represents. I bought your hoodie for my daughter who transitioned.” “I’ve been dealing with depression and feeling out of place and your It Gets Betta sweatshirt makes me smile.”
That season taught me that resilience isn’t about never falling, it’s about trusting God enough to get back up, even when you don’t see the full picture. Every setback became a setup for growth. I learned to pray and pivot to see rejection as redirection.
Now, whenever challenges come, and they still do, I remind myself that HisHeartLove was never just about building a brand; it was about building faith. It’s about showing others that God’s timing is always perfect, even when the process doesn’t make sense. That moment of struggle became one of my greatest testimonies, and it continues to remind me that if you keep your heart aligned with His, you can withstand anything.
