We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Joe Outlaw a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Joe, appreciate you joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

I understand that taking risks isn’t something that everyone is willing to do, especially when they are at a comfortable stage in life and when there are many unknowns . I’ve always been a risk taker. Ever since I was a little girl . If someone told me that I couldn’t do something, I would prove them wrong by doing it 10x better than they would have ever thought. Risk taking for me, is really the next level of faith . It’s making decisions based on what you want out of life and betting everything against it. This was a key factor when I started my business .

Joe, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I own an art studio that provides a creative space for local artists to express themselves. Living in the Tampa Bay area, we are exposed to many forms of art and we welcome students and creatives of all ages, to use Joe’s Palette as a safe haven of expressionism .

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

I have the best team at my Tampa bay location. The artists who work at Joes Palette are always encouraged to be and express themselves through their work and classes. They are able to interact and network with other artists and customers while at the studio and I encourage them to promote their work. This allows open and honest relationships . It also aids with creativity and longevity.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

. Diversity and inclusion . We have been in the art scene publicly since 2018, and I have been grateful to have had the opportunities to do classes while I lived in California, Washington DC and now Florida . At the studio, we incorporate every type of themed Event you could think of , which caters to anyone and all ages .
