We recently connected with Joe Graham and have shared our conversation below.
Joe, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us a bit about who your hero is and the influence they’ve had on you?
Greetings, and thank you by providing an opportunity to speak. Both of my parents Linda and Larry Graham are heros, Larry is one. I have learned many lessons from him, the fatherly example he set for himself and his family with his commitment to working to help Camden, SC and beyond with their automotive service needs, local community involvement and lifetime support of local school systems. His dedication to his church family, local service groups and really anyone around.
He is very disciplined, and in my opinion, taught me hard lessons about pulling through when it matters most. Everybody has their own ways of demonstrating these concepts.
One example is playing disc golf. Beginners struggle, never give up. Intermediates improve, and advanced improvise.
Many of these applications apply in tire service performance workouts and successful interactions with many customers across the boards. Learning to better serve customers welcomes an environment that facilitates continued business relations presently and in the future.
Communication is so key and vital these days.
My mom is my dad’s best friend and they love each other dearly. They are very close and work together very well. Both observations I value alot as part of the family and working in a small family local business.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Joe Graham is a humble and gifted young man. He is a gentleman and scholar.
My grandfather, Lawrence Graham started a small family tire recapping business in 1953, my father Larry joined in 1979 and I in 1995. During the 1990’s recapping tires phased out and selling new tires phased in. Larry specializes in alignments and brakes among other front end and light engine maintenance needs. My awesome brother, Dan, and his family, Ryan, and friend Daniel, along with our current staff, Jalyn, Jake and Robin are an incredible part of our team.
Our team has grown over the years and developed more sophisticated with the advancements in automotive technology, electronics and supply chain network throughout the world.
We solve a world of automotive issues or problems. So many, you name it, it has probobly happened. Our goal is to help solve the problem ourselves or help our customers find where they may resolve their issues. Finding a way to pull through when it matters most applies here.
I am most proud with the ever evolving automotive industry we continue to provide a family oriented environment and love serving our community and it shows.
Personally, I am proud of all of the service industry professionals in the surrounding area and the services we provide the local area. I recognize each business and the people within each organization is special and has gifts specifically with respect to their own group and their customers.
My goal is to do my best.
We love doing our job.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Early on in my “tire” journey I watched my father or a few other employees use tire irons, tire hammers, impact tools and equipment getting the job done. My father taught mechanical leverage and advantage. I learned resilience and his concept of pulling through when it matters most as tire changing techniques has become more difficult with the advent of “modern” tire rims and rim designs.
I have survived tire explosions, zipper failures, physical injuries, and learned to identify weaknesses, areas of improvement and learned to turn weaknesses into strengths. Learning to have fun and love where you are helps days go more smoothly.

Have you ever had to pivot?
As I grow with experience in life I am learning the value of a healthy fit lifestyle. By that I mean healthy nutrition, proper hydration, getting enough rest, and recovery. Plenty of exercise helps keep the mind in a good place to achieve today’s goals and set long-term goals worth setting. Pivoting into the present is where living is at its best today.
