We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Joe Caldwell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Joe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
I do feel as an artist that I’m often misunderstood but the product will always speak for itself and sometimes it’s hard for people to understand my journey because it’s so colorful that it’s hard to keep up I just urge on my listeners all my followers to just enjoy the ride
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First off my name is Joe I am a multi faceted independent artist I create music that’s from my soul you can relate to it if you’ve ever been through anything ever in life But I also would like to believe that I represent the people that are struggling or have struggled with being heard or having a voice or having an outlet. I’ve managed to find many areas in which are now forms of expression for me one of the most recent is my fitness I provide fitness inspo for a lot of people through my journey from being paralyzed to now doing CrossFit competitions but that’s not where it stops I also am a entrepreneur I’ve started my business selling things that are personal to me that are part of my every day life from beauty products to apparel.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Like many things in my colorful background in the story are my now new obsession for NF tees and making music through them I found them to be very lucrative and very helpful and I urge all new artist independent especially to take a further look into NFT‘s because they are definitely the future
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I’m from the ghetto you know I grew up poor I didn’t have much my mom always seem to somehow make it work there’s times we don’t have a home And there also times we didn’t have any food growing up in the climate that I was in i around a lot of gang activity and at some point that became my life. My music is and will always be a representation of that kid that doesn’t come from much but strives for everything and you can hear the progression as I evolve. Stay tuned for a show in December we’re rolling out the red carpets
