Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joe Burdon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Joe , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Joe Burdon and I am the host of The Guiltless Podcast based in Cleveland, Ohio. The podcast specializes in interviewing the best people in the city: authors, fighters, comics, content creators, musicians, entrepreneurs, artists, etc.
It’s a long form, very casual and laid back interview with drinks and jokes where the guests personality can really come out by talking about what they do as well as anything else we think of.
I think I provide a disarming atmosphere where people feel comfortably talk and joke around because these are people I like and admire and want to get to know. Plus I’m pretty immature and that very much comes out.
Lot of things I am proud of with the podcast:
* Being voted #1 in the city by Cleveland Scene.
* Building partnerships and relationships (business and personal) and primarily getting referrals from past guests. That’s the biggest compliment I can get. Someone suggesting other people come on because they enjoyed it so much.
* Growing views, listens and followers each week.
* Expanding into more live shows (done 4 in the past, and in talks to do more).

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Slowly…but one guest/episode at a time. I have a new guest each week, which means a new audience each week on top on what I have built in the past. And each episode is a collaboration and they also promote the release.
There may be a better way, but this works for me.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I like NFTs and what they can do for the creators…but because they have exploded so quickly there seems to be a drastic increase in NFT scams and scammers trying to separate the creators from their assets. Inevitable I guess, when dealing with that much money there is going to be fraud.
But ultimately a new creative way for artists to make money, I’m a fan.
