Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Aboud.
Hi Joe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started interning at a record label in high school, and that experience made me sure that I was on the right path. I decided to go to NYU so that I could intern in New York City during the school year and get as many opportunities under my belt as possible before graduating. I’m so grateful for all of those experiences, especially because one of those internships turned into a full-time job.
After working for both large and small companies, I decided to launch my own company called 444 Sounds, designed to develop artists and help managers and labels hone their strategy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been trusting my gut and so far, I haven’t been led astray. I will say it’s been a struggle to find balance in my personal life. When you own your business, the work is never done. This is especially true when you’re working with artists who are busting their ass to make their dreams come true. It’s inspiring to be part of, and makes me want to work 2x as hard!

444 Sounds is a boutique artist development, management, & label services firm. We work with clients from artists to management companies to record labels and beyond. The angel numbers 444 signal direction, support and insight. These messages are woven into the company fabric as indicators of positive things to come.

People may not know that it was never my plan to become an entrepreneur. Starting 444 Sounds was not on my bingo card for this decade! But I’m so glad I bet on myself and on my incredible roster of talent.
