We recently connected with Jodyy Tee and have shared our conversation below.
Jodyy, appreciate you joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
Sometimes I do wish I started sooner, only because I would have had more experience and mistakes made sooner than I do now. You live and you learn mistakes will be made no matter your timing I just feel at a younger age I prolly would have reached my goals a lil sooner.

Jodyy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well I got into doing music when I was about 16-17 it’s always been something I loved and have been very passionate about. Growing up listening to the great artist like Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye made me want to really pursue music, Fabolous who is my favorite rapper made me want to rap and he also inspires a lot my sound and how I rap as well.
I forgot to mention that I do have my own clothing line called (JiggySeason) a lot of that is influenced by my everyday lifestyle with fashion and my love for sneakers and music which I feel goes hand and hand.
Lastly I been slowly making my way into content creating which is as fun as can be because with that I can by myself and allow my audience to see the raw real me at my best no matter what it is I’m doing.
I’m most proud of being able to have my hand in so many different pots I’m learning to perfect many crafts all at once it’s hard and can be overwhelming, but none the less it’s a challenge that I accept and take pride in. My goal is to be able to touch and reach different people from all walks of life in some way some how with one of the many things I do may it be musically , from a fashion standpoint or even from my content creating in the end I just want to be remember for being my real authentic self.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I feel society should be more welcoming and open to new and upcoming artist and creators. I feel a lot of times the people who are already established get all the praise and recognition and the ones on the rise get pushed to the back or forget about as if they’re not doing the same as the rest of the talent out there.
There should be a platform and outlets where new artist and creators and can be seen and heard because it’s extremely hard trying to gain exposure and following on your own.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience honestly from being a party promoter during a period and time of my life. I would host and attend a lot of parties which led to me gaining a following from that as well as me working in many different retail jobs. So because I met and came across so many different people throughout my time it made it a lil bit easier for me to promote the things that I love to do with my music and fashion.
