Jodie, appreciate you joining us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

My parents played a key role in my music success by acknowledging my passion for music and investing time into my creative being at an early age. At the age of 9 years old, my mother enrolled me into piano lessons, which ignited my passion for music and significantly displayed her belief in my creative being.

Musixbox Entertainment LLC is a music company founded by Jodie Scott in 2018 who provides music production and a live band (Musixbox Band). We are a small business who provides professional music entertainment services to our clients. We specialize in Jazz, RnB, Rock, Gospel, Country, Afro-Beats, Neo-Soul, and Funk through music production and music performance.

What sets us apart is our ability to exceed our client’s expectations by providing them with the best service, talent, and music experience. Any advice for managing a team?

The best advice I have for managing a team and maintaining high morale is to remain professional at all times and treat people how you would like to be treated. As a manager, you are the visionary and you must paint the picture so that your team can perceive your concept. Also, make it fun, be creative, explore and make your projects an exciting experience.

One story that I would like to share and I believe most creatives can relate to is the Impact of Covid-19 on the entertainment industry. During this time, for me as a business owner, I planned, redefine and implement some projects that are currently being undertaken today. This was a pivotal moment for planning for my business. During this moment of planning, we discover ways to strengthen our brand, build collateral, created new music ideas, implemented new projects, discover new ways to market our service and much more. Our resilience, is simply our ability to remain consistent.
