We were lucky to catch up with Jodie Randolph recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jodie, appreciate you joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One of the biggest risks that I took was starting a professional dance company in 2012. I had the idea, asked some dancers to join me, and off we went. I had no idea what I was doing. I knew how to choreograph, but no clue how to run a business. I knew I was called into the dance industry from a young age. And by God’s continued grace, He grew the company from four dancers to twelve in just a few years. Finally by 2019, I was able to be on a full-time (albeit small) salary. I take risks when I feel called or compelled. I don’t always think them through. If I feel the pull, I often follow. My faith creates a foundation for this to be less scary. I know that God won’t fail me, so I can trust the initiatives He puts on my heart.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Jodie, a life coach and creative entrepreneur, passionate about helping people live authentically and in alignment with their true purpose. My journey into life coaching began with my background in contemporary dance and choreography, where I spent years supporting others in their creative expression. I always found joy in helping people tap into their potential, and over time, I realized I wanted to do this on a deeper level, beyond the dance studio.
As a teacher and choreographer, I loved guiding others in their creative process, but I felt a calling to help people in a broader sense—especially those feeling stuck, unsure of their next steps, or disconnected from their true gifts. The pandemic gave me the space to slow down, reflect, and rethink what I wanted to offer the world. That’s when I shifted into life coaching, where I could help people discover their authentic selves and break free from the limitations holding them back.
I offer one-on-one life coaching sessions focused on helping individuals who feel out of alignment with who they are meant to be. Many of my clients know they are meant for more but struggle with feelings of overwhelm, self-doubt, or confusion about their next steps. My role as a coach is to guide them through the process of clarifying their strengths, understanding their unique purpose, and developing the confidence to live in alignment with their true selves.
In addition to individual coaching, I’m also working on developing workshops and group coaching programs that explore creativity, self-expression, and entrepreneurship. I’m especially passionate about helping people who may not see themselves as “creative” realize that creativity is part of who they are. I love guiding my clients to tap into that side of themselves, whether it’s through personal projects, starting a business, or simply thinking outside the box in their daily lives.
What sets me apart is my focus on creativity and unconventional living. My background in dance gives me a unique approach to coaching—one that’s fluid, dynamic, and intuitive. I see life as a creative process, and I help my clients embrace that mindset as they navigate challenges, make bold decisions, and uncover their own potential.
I believe in living free from societal expectations and helping my clients do the same. My coaching style is rooted in the belief that we all have God-given gifts, and my goal is to help people unlock those gifts, break free from limiting beliefs, and live in alignment with their purpose. I also bring an entrepreneurial spirit to my work, helping clients not only discover their passions but also figure out how to turn those passions into actionable, sustainable ventures.
I’m proud of the way I’ve been able to create a life that reflects my true values and purpose. It took courage to step away from the traditional path and embrace a more unconventional way of living, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned to trust my intuition, honor my creativity, and build a life and business that feel aligned with who I am at my core.
For potential clients or followers, I want you to know that my work is all about helping you live in alignment with who you truly are. My role is to help you unlock that potential, live authentically, and step into the freedom of being your true self. Whether you’re looking for clarity in your personal life, starting a new creative venture, or needing guidance to break free from old patterns, I’m here to support you on that journey.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has definitely been word of mouth. I’ve found that when people experience real transformation or breakthroughs, they naturally share their stories with others. My coaching work is deeply personal, and the trust and connection I build with clients often lead them to recommend me to friends, family, or colleagues who are also looking for guidance. I’m so grateful for those referrals because they come from a place of genuine experience and belief in the work we do together.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the most significant pivots in my life came during the pandemic. Before that, I had spent many years working in the dance industry, teaching and choreographing. Dance was my passion, and I loved helping others connect with their creativity and express themselves. But when the pandemic hit, everything slowed down. Suddenly, I had time to really reflect on my life, my values, and the direction I wanted to go.
As much as I loved teaching dance, I realized that my deepest fulfillment came from the one-on-one connections I made with people—guiding them through creative struggles and helping them uncover their potential. The more I reflected, the more I felt that I was being called to something different, something that would allow me to go deeper in helping people align with their true selves. That’s when I started exploring life coaching. It felt like a natural extension of what I had always done, but on a more personal and impactful level.
The pandemic gave me the space to reconsider what I wanted for my life and my work, and it helped me embrace the courage to make that pivot. Becoming a life coach has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to support others as they navigate their own life transitions and step into their authentic purpose. I’m grateful for the clarity that came out of that challenging time, and for the opportunity to help others find the same kind of alignment in their own lives.
