We were lucky to catch up with Jock Brocas recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jock, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.

Who is the underserved, is there such a thing? This is a greatly misunderstood concept because many people feel underserved if they do not get or achieve what is the focus of their perceptions and expectations, but the truth is their perceptions are governed by others’ expectations. So for me, the underserved are those who suffer from spiritual crises, which may sound like something religious, but it is far from it. You see, at the very foundation of all major breakthroughs in life and in business has been a spiritual foundation. You only have to research the works and beliefs of the great pioneers such as Carnegie, Ford, Disney, and many others to realize that at the root of their successes is a spiritual foundation.

In the modern day, most entrepreneurs or leaders fail to understand what a spiritual foundation means and so fall into the precepts of religion and dogmatic rules and regulations. Instead of being the vehicle that catapults their dreams into reality, it stifles them and their natural god-given creativity. On the flip side of the coin, you have the other camp that is so steeped in new age belief and so far from reality, that nothing seems to work and if it does it causes more suffering within.

No matter who you are, whether you are a leader, changemaker or you want to make a greater impact in the world, without a spiritual foundation, you will cause your inner suffering. Therefore, anyone who has ever felt small, does not think they can achieve great things or serve the world with a greater purpose – to me, is the underserved. I am, therefore, only a gardener who will sow seeds of greatness within them and help them to cultivate and create through their own spiritual power.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I spent most of my youth in a monastery where my uncle was a monk, and any time I could get away from studies or home life, I would seek the refuge and solace of the monastery. I cannot say that it was there that I developed my inner spiritual awareness and purpose, for it was a place that was forged in religious fire. However, for me, it was a place where I could begin my warriors’ quest. I was not always falling into line with religious perceptions and my experiences dictated things differently. I could see, hear and feel differently from most people. I wanted to serve my life as a priest in the Catholic Church, but my experiences and journey dictated differently. I learned more and more as I experienced many facets of life’s path.

Later in life, I served in the British Army, became a bodyguard, and worked in high-risk security details as well as other aspects of that life. My spirituality never left me but became a power that was pulling me onto a path I perhaps did not think I was ready for, or to take on. I developed as a highly evidential medium and teacher and I believe all these experiences have helped me to achieve what I needed to bring myself to the place I am in now, at this moment in time. I always had a spiritual entrepreneurial spirit and that helped me achieve things that no one in my environment thought I could.

I am the author of several books published globally in multiple languages and the editor of an award-winning magazine in spiritual science and parapsychology. I am the CEO of a successful media agency, and a sought-after spiritual coach to leaders, executives, and changemakers. I help businesses succeed by helping them to see what they think cannot be seen, and I coach leaders to go deeper into their own power by using sound spiritual practice and wisdom from the warriors of old.

I developed a unique program for leaders called 21 Virtues, which is a life-changing quest based on the spiritual principles of ancient warriors. I only work with 4 clients a year in my 21v program, which has no more space for several years. However, this life-changing warrior’s journey is being adapted for others to begin their own quest due to the success of the one-to-one 21v program.

My coaching style is a cross between ancient wisdom and sound modern practices. I love to be able to sow seeds of greatness in all who seek it on their life path and to teach them how to cultivate that seed and become the great spiritual warriors and leaders that will help them serve others and humanity to make lasting change by transforming all areas of their lives.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Life is all about experience and if you have a bad experience, you will never forget that bad experience. Consequently, the same goes for great experiences. If you have a powerful experience, then you will never forget it, and you will seek to have more of that experience, especially if it is long-lasting. So I live my life within three rules of love, forgiveness, and compassion. This is my quote;

So with this in mind, I serve everyone with love without condition, with compassion and understanding. I do not judge and I help to transform their lives and business by sowing those seeds and serving them with all that I can give. That is how I have built my reputation.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When I came to the United States, I came with nothing. My publishers brought us here, but I had no job, no car, and nowhere to live except a holiday villa our family got us when we moved here. We left Scotland with a hope and a dream and not knowing what or how we were going to survive. We had no income and though we had skills, they were not the type of skills that would get you readily into some kind of job or career. I had faith that my path would be opened to me, and it was. I got a burner phone from Walmart, and I had my laptop. Certain events fell into place as I was being guided by a greater power. It was not long before the unknown was known, and I started a business out of nothing. Soon nothing was something and my digital content marketing business was borne and became successful fast. Not because of what i had done, but because of how I served with no expectations and no hidden agendas. I now have a great team that works with me and i am the developer of globally renowned health, healing, and legal networks. I put knowing and faith into practice and understood that my power inside was divine, and you can to, you can change your circumstance now.

It does not start with the first step as many would attest, but it starts with the awareness of the thought in action.
