Jocelyn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
One of the biggest trends I see in the influencer and content creation space is the shift towards hyper-authenticity and long-form storytelling. Audiences are moving away from perfectly curated, overly polished content and gravitating toward creators who share real, unfiltered moments.
A perfect example of this happened during a recent collaboration. I had a beautifully shot campaign with a luxury brand—everything was pristine, high-fashion, and aspirational. But then, in between takes, my daughter, Frankie, ran into the frame wearing her pajamas, demanding a snack. Instead of cutting that moment, I decided to keep it in and post a behind-the-scenes reel showing the chaos of trying to film a “perfect” brand campaign while juggling motherhood. That post? It outperformed the original by three times in engagement. It reinforced what I’ve been noticing: audiences don’t just want to see the polished version of life—they crave the real, raw, and relatable.
Opportunities & Concerns
This trend presents an opportunity for influencers who are willing to embrace imperfection. Brands are now valuing long-form, documentary-style storytelling over traditional static posts, which opens the door for more meaningful partnerships.
However, there’s also a challenge: where do we draw the line between authenticity and oversharing? As creators, we want to be real, but we also need to maintain privacy and boundaries—especially when family and kids are involved. The key is finding that balance: keeping it real without losing the magic of storytelling.
I see this trend continuing to grow, and I love it. It makes content creation feel more like a community than a performance. And for someone like me, who balances fashion, beauty, and motherhood, it’s an exciting shift that lets me connect with my audience on a much deeper level.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Meet Jocelyn Osorio: Model, Actress & Content Creator
I’m Jocelyn Osorio—an actress, model, and content creator with a passion for fashion, beauty, and motherhood. Originally from Iquique, Chile, I grew up in a cosmopolitan beach town where my love for storytelling and self-expression first began. My mother was a hairdresser, and my father was a jewelry maker, so creativity was always a part of my world. I was fascinated by the way fashion and beauty could transform someone—not just on the outside but in the way they carried themselves.
My journey into this industry started when I won local beauty competitions and worked as a brand ambassador for Coca-Cola and Fanta. That early exposure to marketing and branding, mixed with my deep curiosity about the world, led me to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Eventually, I moved to the U.S., where I worked in film and television while simultaneously growing my platform as a digital creator.
What I Do & What Sets Me Apart:
Today, I create content that blends high fashion, beauty, and lifestyle with the realities of motherhood. I collaborate with luxury brands that align with my aesthetic and values, offering authentic storytelling that goes beyond just showcasing a product—I immerse my audience in an experience. Whether it’s a skincare line that truly works for busy moms, a handbag that elevates an everyday outfit, or a family-friendly travel destination, my approach is about seamlessly integrating these moments into real life.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge “elegance and authenticity.” I don’t just post curated, polished content—I also share the behind-the-scenes moments, the challenges, and the joy of balancing motherhood with a career in fashion and entertainment. My audience connects with me because I’m transparent about what works, what doesn’t, and how I navigate it all.
Who I Help & The Problems I Solve:
For brands, I bring a unique perspective that merges my expertise in modeling, acting, and content creation. I help them tell their stories in a way that feels aspirational yet attainable—whether it’s through a stunning campaign, an engaging video, or an authentic testimonial that resonates with my audience.
For my followers, I provide “relatable luxury”—showing them how to integrate high-end fashion and beauty into their everyday lives while embracing motherhood, self-care, and confidence. My goal is to inspire women to feel their best without the pressure of perfection.
What ’m Most Proud Of:
One of my biggest accomplishments is building a community that genuinely trusts my recommendations. Whether it’s my 202k + followers on Instagram or the brands I’ve partnered with, I’ve worked hard to cultivate relationships based on authenticity, quality, and integrity. I’m also proud of my ability to navigate multiple industries—acting, modeling, and content creation—while staying true to myself and my vision.
What I Want People to Know About Me
At the core of everything I do is passion. I genuinely love creating, connecting, and sharing experiences that make people feel something—whether it’s confidence in their skin, excitement about a new brand, or simply the reassurance that they’re not alone in their journey.
I also believe that success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about impact. My goal is not only to grow as a creator but to leave a lasting impression, whether it’s through a beautifully shot campaign, a heartfelt post, or an inspiring collaboration.
I’m excited for what’s next—whether that’s walking the streets of Paris Fashion Week, landing a magazine cover, or discovering the next brand that truly deserves the spotlight. And I’m grateful for everyone who’s on this journey with me.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The Mission Behind My Creative Journey
At the heart of my creative journey is a simple yet powerful mission: to inspire confidence, authenticity, and elegance in every stage of life.
As a model, actress, and content creator, I’ve always believed that beauty and fashion aren’t just about looking good—they’re about feeling empowered. Whether I’m styling a luxury handbag, sharing my skincare routine, or documenting the raw, joyful chaos of motherhood, my goal is to make women feel seen, capable, and inspired.
A big part of my mission is also redefining what it means to balance motherhood and career. As a mom of two, I want to show that you don’t have to choose between being an amazing parent and chasing your dreams—you can do both, in your own way. I want other women, especially mothers, to know that they can still step into their power, embrace their style, and prioritize themselves without guilt.
Another major goal is to elevate storytelling in content creation. I want to move beyond just showcasing products and instead create immersive, visually compelling narratives that bring brands to life. Whether it’s through high-fashion editorials, travel content, or lifestyle moments, my focus is on blending aspiration with authenticity.
Ultimately, I want my work to resonate beyond just social media—to leave a lasting impact in the worlds of fashion, beauty, and digital storytelling. I see myself not just as an influencer, but as a “bridge between artistry and real life, between high fashion and relatability. And as I continue to grow, my dream is to be recognized in spaces like New York Fashion Week, luxury brand campaigns, and magazine covers, proving that elegance and real life can coexist beautifully.
That’s what drives me every day—the belief that storytelling, style, and self-expression can inspire and empower in ways that go far beyond the screen.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A Story of Resilience: From Setbacks to Strength
Resilience has been a constant theme in my journey, but one moment stands out vividly. Early in my career, I landed a dream acting opportunity—a major role that felt like the breakthrough I had been working so hard for. I poured everything into it, preparing for weeks, balancing auditions, modeling jobs, and the uncertainty that comes with this industry. Then, just days before production, I got the call—the project was canceled.
It was a devastating blow. In this business, rejection and setbacks are part of the process, but this felt different. It wasn’t just losing a job; it was losing a vision I had built up in my head of where I thought my career was heading. I had two choices: dwell on what was lost or pivot and create something of my own.
That moment pushed me to take control of my narrative. Instead of waiting for the next opportunity, I leaned into content creation and storytelling—on my terms. I started sharing my love for fashion, beauty, and motherhood in a more intentional way, growing my platform into a space where I could collaborate with brands, tell my own stories, and reach an audience that resonated with me.
Years later, that resilience paid off. Now, I get to work with brands I love, travel for incredible collaborations, and be part of an industry that once felt inaccessible. The setback that once felt like an ending turned out to be the push I needed to evolve.
This experience taught me that resilience isn’t just about pushing through challenges—it’s about redefining success on your own terms and finding new ways to grow when the original path doesn’t go as planned. And in my journey, that’s been the most empowering lesson of all.
