Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jo Greiner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
The year was 2012. It was the busiest it had ever been. At the time, in a relatively new relationship, moving to a new home in a new state, while operating two different businesses. Needless to say, it was a juggling act. Most days, I felt like a circus juggler performing for the first time in front of 100’s of people. There were lots of expectations and responsibilities. Employees, equipment maintenance & repairs, payroll, federal compliance items, contracts, customers, etc…There never seemed to be enough hours in a day to get it all done. Vacation… What was that? A full night of sleep with no emergency phone calls was the closest thing to a vacation that could be imagined.
There were moments when a pause occurred long enough to ask “Is this really life”? That’s when the statement became, “ There has to be more to life than living in a constant state of stress”.
On a business trip to Wyoming to finalize the sale of a semi truck, I met with a mutual family friend and was introduced to essential oils. It amazed me what the laundry list of ailments one little drop of an oil could potentially relieve. Something awakened within, a tiny spark of hope perhaps. Back home, life as I knew it continued. Thoughts of those little bottles of oil and all they represented consumed me. Natural healing ability… Did they really work? I was about to find out!
As time allotted, I spent the next several years researching the power and benefits of essential oils. On this journey, I was introduced to Katrina, a beautiful, kind and fun loving human who was instrumental in facilitating a major pivotal change in my life.
Katrina introduced or re-introduced me to essential oils but this time, it also came with education and access to purchasing my own. We had many talks about the power of essential oils and occasionally, Katrina would mention the potential impact they could have on emotions. Of course, there was much doubt, but I kept my thoughts to myself and continued to use the oils every day. One day there was this sudden realization that some of the stress was reduced and potential conflict issues were resolved more calmly. It definitely was one of those moments where the brain didn’t automatically go into “freak out” mode. Even traveling experiences were calmer with less impatience and moments of anger. Maybe there was something to the essential oils and emotion thing after all…?
One day Katrina mentioned that there was also a business opportunity with the oils. Compensation for simply referring others to these natural solutions that were making such an impact in my life. At first, I was very resistant to this idea, “There were too many irons in the fire already, there was no way to juggle them all.
Katrina’s response was, “What if you could replace one of your other, very labor intensive, businesses with one that changes lives and also provides residual income at the same time”.
The question became what is residual income? Being in my mid thirties this was a new term. With education and mentorship the realization came that it was a smarter business model than the corporate one I was accustomed to .
So as they say, all aboard. It definitely had me jumping on the essential oil train. Sharing with people was something that fueled me. It was exciting and the passion for helping others discover their own solutions was truly what led the charge.
Don’t get me wrong, the journey was challenging at times. This new business model was relationship based and that has always been difficult for me. Embracing this new life, brought the discovery of massive personal growth, epic self healing and a whole new community of beautiful caring compassionate people who supported me in ways I had never experienced before.
Was it easy? Not at all… in fact, it was very uncomfortable at times. Was it worth it? Absolutely! One THOUSAND times YES!! So many rich and fulfilling relationships, so much emotional trauma healed. The income resulting from this venture into a new field has been beneficial, however, its impact and value pales in comparison to the impact and value I have experienced on a spiritual and emotional level.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
DIY projects have always intrigued me. Growing up on a farm in the midwest with a large family of ten kids taught me self-sufficiency, strategy and independence. I also prefer to try things out myself before recommending (the successful ones) to others. Coming from a large family there wasn’t a lot of money for doctors so we utilized home remedies for things like a cold or the flu. All of that to say, I LOVE natural remedies. It amazes and intrigues me that one herb (or essential oil) can be used for multiple ailments and be effective on all of them. Take peppermint for example, it can be used to relieve head tension and also supports digestion.
My essential oil use started in 2015 as an alternative to ‘over the counter’ medications (such as Tylenol for example) because: certified, pure, tested grade essential oils do not have negative side effects (when used properly), and are in fact, beneficial to the entire body! In the beginning, my essential oil use was for physical ailments like a bruised shin or to relieve head tension. One day while mowing the lawn a new discovery was made that helped me minimize the effects of a panic attack that came out of nowhere. Anyone who has experienced one of these, knows that there is no rhyme or reason to panic attacks, you generally can’t predict when they will happen and they are physically and emotionally debilitating. I reached for my oils (my new habit now), applied them to the palms of my hands and focused on breathing in the scent. Within a few minutes, control was regained and allowed me to come back to center and calm. As you can imagine, this felt incredibly empowering to resolve an event such as this so quickly!
It made me wonder, if that worked so well, what else might it work on…. So began my journey to discovering how emotional trauma affects the physical body and what methods might be used to truly heal that trauma.
Realizing emotional healing was needed within myself was the first step and probably, the easiest. Choosing to heal, well, that was uncomfortable and challenging most days and also deeply rewarding and empowering. I sought out videos and books on emotional trauma and dedicated 30 -60 minutes to reading/listening every day.
One day a friend sent me a video by Dr. Bradley Nelson and was introduced to “The Emotion Code”. Where he shared about learning emotions and how, when not processed, they become trapped and eventually, result in physical symptoms. Using Dr. Bradley’s guide I started working on myself, locating trapped emotions through muscle testing and releasing them. There was a gradual shift in my life where I felt more self confidence, I was trusting my intuition about making the “right” decisions.
With those results it led me to invest in the “Emotion Code” training so I could become certified and help others find their way of healing. By integrating the essential oils into the emotion code sessions it assisted with the release and processing that occurs during the sessions.
In 2021, I was introduced to another tool called the AO Scan. This is a handheld bio-resonance device that detects frequency imbalances in the energetic body and sends optimizing frequencies to bring balance to imbalanced areas. My favorite feature on this device and one of my most popular services, is called the “Inner Voice” scan. The device takes a 10 second voice recording and instantly generates balancing harmonics for the client to listen to which then brings about emotional balance. The whole process takes less than 15 minutes and the harmonics can be listened to multiple times a day by the client. I have found this to be an incredibly powerful addition to the emotion code sessions and my clients love it!
In my work as a Lifestyle Coach and Trauma Recovery Expert, I guide clients to healing emotional trauma and teach them how to be their own healer.
In my personal experience and as a practitioner, it has been found that to experience the most significant results and take one’s power back, there must first be a willingness to discard the common belief that someone else (primary care dr., parent, spouse etc) is responsible for one’s health.
This is not to say that there’s not a time and place for western medicine. There certainly is, however, many physical issues can be easily resolved by tweaking some lifestyle habits and choosing to address emotional trauma from the past. All physical dis-ease, stems from an emotional imbalance.
TruBliss Solutions was created by me to connect people with results that they can feel. Solutions that I have found to be extremely effective and truly blissful because the tools employed are simple yet effective and fun to use. They provide physical and emotional relief to the clients. My dedication to the countless hours of study of evolutionary healing modules has allowed me to attain certifications to provide my clients with personalized wellness habits and guide them on their own journey of healing.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Our beliefs determine our quality of life. Sounds simple right? It’s like installing a new program on your computer, it just may take a little longer to reprogram the mind than a computer especially when it’s been a belief for 30+ years.
So how does one go about this reprogramming…
Recognizing a belief that no longer served me was the first step. Why did I believe what I did… Because someone told me this is how it is? Growing up, we actually had a newspaper clipping of “Murphy’s Law” hanging on the bulletin board in our living room.
For those who aren’t familiar with Murphy’s Law, it basically states that “if something can go wrong, it will”. Then lists all the ways that it might happen. One of my core beliefs was that “the deck was stacked against me”. I had to have a plan A, B and C. I had to fight for everything I wanted out of life. Everyone was out to “get me”. The belief was only by working hard and as much as I possibly could, would I then be able to eventually (maybe…) enjoy the better things in life. Sounds awful doesn’t it?
Recognizing this belief was the first step. Choosing to create a new belief was the second step. Learning that our beliefs are the result of our environment and our experiences is the link between the two. What we choose to listen to. What we choose to read. As well as, the people we surround ourselves with, all play a part in our programming.
Romance novels were exchanged for personal development books. Audiobooks of energetic healing were completely opposite of the religious programming that surrounded my youth. It’s been a process for sure and one that I am still utilizing. I don’t think that we ever get “done”. That’s why it’s called growth, right?

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The book, Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson, was incredibly helpful for me to learn how to communicate effectively. Switch on Your Brain by Dr. Caroline Leaf was instrumental in teaching me how to “rewire” my brain (reprogram).
The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon is a quick and easy read and explains how our energy impacts our experiences in life and the lives of those around us.
Untamed by Glennon Doyle is one of my favorite books of all time, so many aha moments reading through that book.
Dr. Joe Dispenza, Brene Brown, Marianne Williamson and Mel Robbins have been a few of the key influencers in my life as well. There’s so much content out there that’s easily accessible and free!
