We recently connected with Jo Ann Clark and have shared our conversation below.
Jo Ann, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
The Kindest Thing anyone has ever said to me was that I have a Heart of Gold because I am always willing to help others and always reaching out to help others. It makes you feel so good to get those kind of Compliments especially when you know you try to help people with whatever you can help them with.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi I move to Atlanta from Austin, Tx. I married a young man named Jerry Clark who was in the Military and is Originally from Statesboro, Ga. So when he got out of the Military he said it was time to go back to his hometown to live. But I did not want to live in his hometown because it was too small to me because I am originally from a small town as well Natchitoches, La. I wanted to live in a bigger City so I already had a Sister and her Family living in Atlanta, Ga and he had a brother living in Atlanta, Ga so I said we have to move to Atlanta, Ga so we moved to Atlanta Georgia in 1989 so he was fine with that since it was only 3 1/2 hours from his hometown Statesboro, Ga. I always wanted to be a Singer or an Actress. So when the singing thing did not work out for me. I said when I get to Atlanta I was going to look into Acting. So I started out playing Extra ‘s in a few Series they were filling here in Atlanta. I also went to Acting school here but then they stopped filming here in Atlanta. So I stopped doing anything. So about 3 years before the Pandemic hit in The World I took some more acting classes because The Filming had started back in Atlanta. I started doing some Plays and a Short Film and I did 3 Independent movies. I am on the IMDb site for my credits. So now that the Pandemic has settled some I really have not done anything I have been scouting trying to find me an Agent. So I am also going to take some more Acting classes and some Auditions again while trying to find an Agent to Represent me.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I am not a business owner but I have a pretty nice following on Facebook. I just started posting me going to different events and posting my Plays and Movies and I started getting a lot of people wanting to friend me. So I always post what I am doing so people can follow me and come to check me out. The Advice I would give for someone’s Social media page is make your page Public and post all of your exciting projects and whatever it is that you are doing in Life you never know who might see you.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I don’t have any Clients but the best source for me is getting people around me and following me is that I keep them captivated in whatever I am doing. I am always posting and posting things that I do on my Story as well as my Facebook page. I am a fun loving person who enjoys Life.
