We recently connected with JJ DiGeronimo and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, JJ thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One deeply underappreciated facet of being an entrepreneur or creative is the kind of crazy stuff that happens from time to time. It could be anything from a disgruntled client attacking an employee or waking up to find out a celebrity gave you a shoutout on TikTok – the sudden, unexpected hits (both positive and negative) make the profession both exhilarating and exhausting. Can you share one of your craziest stories?
For a long time, I believed that money was the key to security, success, and even my sense of worth. Growing up, we didn’t have an abundance of it, and I internalized the idea that more money meant more stability—more control over my life. So, I chased it. I worked hard, climbed ladders, and made decisions that I thought would bring me the financial safety I craved. But beneath that drive was fear—the fear of not having enough, of not being enough, of losing what I had worked so hard for. No amount of money could truly quiet that fear because security isn’t just about numbers in a bank account. It’s about my relationship with money, how I hold it, trust it, and allow it to flow. I used to think of money as something I had to earn, control, and keep—otherwise, it could disappear at any moment. But money is a frequency. When I started seeing it as energy—something that responds to my beliefs, my actions, and my alignment—it changed everything.
Being an entrepreneur deepened this lesson in ways I never expected. Some months were high, some were low. Opportunities came and went. Unexpected expenses showed up. And with every financial shift, that old fear resurfaced—was I doing enough, working hard enough, making the right decisions? I had to decide—was I going to operate from fear, gripping tightly to the illusion of control? Or was I going to trust that when I’m in alignment, the right resources will show up at the right time? Money isn’t just about numbers—it’s about how we feel about it. Do we see it as fleeting, stressful, and hard to earn? Or do we see it as energy—something that ebbs and flows, something we can call in when we align with the right opportunities? The difference isn’t in external circumstances; it’s in our internal relationship with it. The moment I stopped chasing security and started trusting in my ability to create, attract, and receive, my work and expectations changed. I now turn to the motto: Get Rich From the Positive Energy Your Exchange”
JJ, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For much of my career, I worked in the tech industry, building a successful path in leadership and enjoying the challenges and opportunities it provided. But alongside my career, I had a deep curiosity about personal growth, mindfulness, and energy work. For years, I explored these areas—taking classes, researching, and learning from different modalities—all while managing my corporate responsibilities. Over time, I realized that while I appreciated my work, I felt called to something bigger: helping professional women navigate the intersection of achievement and fulfillment. I saw so many successful women who, like me, had reached external milestones but were still searching for something more meaningful. That realization led me to write, speak, and share my research, providing insights and strategies for women who are looking to align their careers and lives with what truly resonates for them.
Today, through my books, keynotes, retreats, and online community, I share lessons, research, and experiences to help women explore their own paths toward greater fulfillment. My work blends **practical career strategies with energetic awareness**, offering a combination of tools that women can choose from based on what resonates most with them. Whether I’m speaking at a corporate event, hosting conversations on my *Together WE SEEK* podcast, or guiding women through immersive retreats, my goal is to provide inspiration, insights, and resources that spark reflection and action. I don’t shift women—I believe transformation comes from within. My role is to provide perspectives and tools that help women make their own choices about what aligns with them. I’m proud of the conversations I get to facilitate and the community of women who are exploring new ways to create impact, lead with intention, and cultivate deeper fulfillment in their lives. If there’s one thing I want people to take away from my work, it’s that success is personal, and fulfillment comes from creating alignment between what we do and who we are.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Early in my journey, I believed that success was something I had to chase—through effort, strategy, and persistence. I thought if I just worked hard enough, stayed visible, and said yes to every opportunity, I could control my path and ensure success. But over time, I realized that constantly pushing and striving wasn’t sustainable. I was operating from a place of force rather than flow, leaving me feeling drained.
I wish I had known earlier that success isn’t just about action—it’s also about energy. The way we show up, the frequency we hold, and the alignment we cultivate all play a role in what we attract into our lives and careers. When I started exploring energy practices, everything shifted. Rather than chasing opportunities, I began attracting the right people, projects, and experiences by being intentional about my own energy.
Some of the most impactful energy practices I’ve integrated include meditation, visualization, grounding techniques, and intentional reflection. I’ve learned that my energy—my frequency—is like a signal I send out, and what I put out is what I receive back. If I’m operating from stress, fear, or scarcity, I attract more of that into my work. But when I prioritize practices that help me stay centered, clear, and aligned, I naturally draw in opportunities that match that energy. Instead of saying yes to everything out of fear of missing out, I now trust and use my power of No chart, which I reference in all three of my books for women in business, to create paths for the right opportunities that will match my frequency. This shift has been one of the most powerful realizations of my journey, and it’s something I now share with other women—helping them see that success isn’t just about doing more, but about being in a state that attracts what they truly want.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn was that success isn’t about doing more—it’s about aligning with the right opportunities. I had to shift my mindset from chasing to attracting, from overcommitting to being intentional, and from proving myself to trusting myself. Instead of saying yes out of fear—fear of missing out, fear of being overlooked, fear of not doing enough—I started using my Power of No framework, which I share in my books, to make decisions that felt aligned. I also integrated energy practices like meditation, visualization, and intentional reflection to help me recognize when I was making choices from a place of scarcity versus trust. That shift changed everything. Now, I focus on helping women navigate their own journeys—not by telling them what to do, but by providing insights, tools, and perspectives so they can create success in a way that feels fulfilling, sustainable, and truly aligned with who they are.
