We were lucky to catch up with Jizzixious Bishop recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jizzixious, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

When I first moved to LA, I didn’t have dreams of being an actor or author. I truly came to LA for peace and warmth. I met a few dope people in my first few weeks there which led me into growing a brotherhood with my boy Deon. Deon introduced me to my first acting job, which will always be an emotional and meaningful one. Before I moved to Los Angeles, my brother Patrick Day just recently lost his life in a boxing match. I was there! The other boxer he fought, for some odd reason ended up in LA with me on set for my first project ever. There was a big picture of the other boxer who killed my brother in the ring right on the wall where I was filming. At first I thought it was a joke because Deon knew the story I told him when I first met him and so be it that wasn’t the case. Before I had decided to walk off set and leave because of my emotions was running high, I went into the bathroom looked in the mirror and heard a voice. I heard God say, “This is you now, don’t walk out.” I listened! From that day moving forward I’m still in the entertainment business creating art and I am proudly to announce that I am also an award winning actor.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Jizzixious Bishop and I’m from the concrete streets of Long Island, New York. I moved to los angels when I was 21yrs young and freshly made from dropping out of college. Exactly, college isn’t for everyone, but that’s not for you to do what I did. I did what was best for me. Moving on! So yes, as you possibly already know I am an award winning Actor, a Best selling Author, and I am also a coach for Team USA Boxing. Two interesting facts I would love to share with you all is that I have some amazing vocals and I can imitate all sorts of voices. You can find my Best selling book, Life Sentence: Birth of A Legend on amazon. You will not be disappointed. In all honesty most of my problems comes within me, whether its allowing my peace to be bothered or even procrastinating, but I am working on it.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

In this entertainment business located in Hollywood, I can honestly say that no one is safe. During the pandemic I was dropped by both my ex agent and ex manger who claimed to be family to me, but when it came down to money things changed. But how odd was it that my mom was in town the day they dropped me and my mom found out and told me, “son why are you worried about it? 5o cent sold CDs out the back of his trunk, you’re from New York, GET TO WORK.” I do want y’all to know the full story to what exactly happened and who these two people are, which I’m pretty sure everyone knows who they are, but I’m only giving that info away once you follow me on instagram @jizzxixious and send me a dm.

The sooner you have a relationship with God, the quicker you’ll move in his protection, wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to give everything that I am borrowing from God and to share it with others who truly need the encouragement, motivation, and inner strength to get to the next level. Yes it is possible because I’m a testament of it. A product from the concrete streets of Long Island New York who made it out. An evangelist excited to bring you on his acting and authoring journey while helping you along the way.
