We were lucky to catch up with Jital Pancholi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jital, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Oncore Physical Therapy wasn’t something I had planned for years. In fact, I never imagined I would be a business owner. But sometimes, purpose calls you in unexpected ways. I’ve always been deeply passionate about healthcare, but I knew I wanted to focus on an area that’s often overlooked—pelvic health. This is a field that’s shrouded in stigma and silence, even though it impacts people’s lives in profound ways. I’ve seen how issues like bladder control, bowel dysfunction, pain, and pelvic pressure can erode a person’s confidence, relationships, and overall quality of life. These are problems that people often endure quietly, feeling embarrassed or ashamed to seek help. I knew that had to change.
As a physical therapist, I’d always approached care with a desire to provide lasting solutions. I’d seen how traditional healthcare models often focus on managing symptoms rather than addressing the root cause. Patients would come back again and again, and while their pain might lessen temporarily, it would eventually return. I wanted to do more. I wanted to create a space where people could feel seen, heard, and genuinely helped. A place where patients’ stories were at the center of care—where they’d walk away with real, lasting relief.
The vision for Oncore started to take shape after my own experience with pelvic health challenges following childbirth. Like so many women, I faced physical trauma that impacted my everyday life in ways I hadn’t anticipated. I’d always been strong and active, but suddenly I found myself grappling with issues that I’d never been warned about. Pelvic floor therapy changed everything for me. It wasn’t just about physical healing—it was emotional, mental, and even spiritual healing. That experience shifted my entire perspective on patient care. I realized that pelvic health isn’t just a specialty—it’s a necessity. It’s foundational to how we live, move, and feel as human beings.
That’s when I knew this was a path I had to pursue. But I also knew I couldn’t do it within the confines of the traditional healthcare model. I’d seen the barriers—the rushed appointments, the insurance-driven limitations, and the pressure to “check the boxes” rather than treat the whole person. I knew that if I was going to create the kind of care I’d envisioned, I’d have to do it on my own terms. So, with a lot of faith, support from my family, and a clear purpose driving me forward, I took the leap and opened Oncore Physical Therapy.
What makes Oncore different is our holistic, root-cause approach. We don’t just focus on alleviating pain in the moment—we’re focused on true healing. Our goal is for patients to walk away with the tools, knowledge, and physical strength to live their lives without relying on us long-term. We want them to feel empowered, confident, and free from limitations. Our care model is designed around the idea that physical health impacts every other area of life—mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. By addressing the whole person, we’re able to facilitate deeper healing and a higher quality of life for our patients.
The most rewarding part of this journey has been witnessing transformations in my patients. I’ve seen people walk into our practice feeling hopeless, broken, or ashamed. But through education, empowerment, and targeted care, they’re able to reclaim their lives. When I see a patient leave treatment stronger, more confident, and no longer in need of ongoing therapy—that’s when I know we’ve done our job. And that’s what drives me every day.
I often say that what I do isn’t work—it’s worship. Helping people overcome challenges that have limited them physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually is fulfilling on every level. The decision to start Oncore wasn’t just about filling a gap in the market. It was about answering a calling to provide care in a way that’s deeply human, compassionate, and transformative. It’s about changing lives for the better—including my own. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

Jital, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
’m Dr. P, a pelvic floor physical therapist and the proud owner of Oncore Physical Therapy. Our practice is dedicated to transforming lives through holistic, comprehensive pelvic health care for adults and children alike. We serve men, women, and children as young as 4 and as mature as 90. Our patients face a variety of challenges, including pain, bladder and bowel issues, and sexual health concerns. Our specialized care extends to pregnant women, those trying to conceive, and postpartum mothers—helping them address issues that, if untreated, could affect their future health and quality of life. We’re also proud to support athletes seeking to improve performance by optimizing pelvic control and stability, as well as individuals managing acute and chronic back, hip, or pelvic pain.
What sets Oncore apart is our relentless focus on identifying the root cause of each patient’s issue—not just treating symptoms. This approach allows us to provide long-term, sustainable solutions that bring about true healing. We firmly believe that addressing physical issues at their core has a ripple effect on mental, emotional, social, and even spiritual well-being. One of the things I’m most proud of is that our patients not only get better, but they stay better. Our goal is to empower them to live freely and confidently, without the need for ongoing therapy year after year.
The journey to owning a business has been anything but linear. Truthfully, I never set out to be a business owner. I’ve always been a content person, deeply rooted in my family, children, and passion for my work. But over time, I began to feel constrained by the traditional healthcare model—a system that often prioritizes volume over value. I wanted to create something different. I wanted to treat people as whole individuals, not just a set of symptoms. I wanted the freedom to give my patients the kind of care they truly deserve. Owning my own practice allowed me to fulfill that vision while also achieving a healthier balance between my role as a mother and a professional.
Starting Oncore Physical Therapy has been a labor of love, faith, and devotion—and I’m far from alone in this journey. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my husband, my team, and the community of patients who have trusted us with their care. Together, we’ve built a space where healing is holistic, compassionate, and deeply impactful.
Of course, it hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to stay connected to my “why.” It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind of running a business, but staying grounded in my purpose is what keeps me going. Another vital lesson is that learning never stops. Every patient, every case, and every experience offers new insights. I’ve learned to embrace growth and remain open to change.
My decision to pursue pelvic health care wasn’t just a professional choice—it’s personal. After the birth of my child, I faced my own struggles with physical trauma. The experience left me searching for answers, and that’s when I discovered pelvic floor therapy. It was life-changing for me—healing me physically, emotionally, and mentally. That experience profoundly shifted my perspective on patient care. I understood, in a deeply personal way, what it’s like to feel vulnerable and in need of compassionate, expert support. It’s this understanding that fuels my passion for my work to this day.
At Oncore Physical Therapy, our mission is to provide lasting relief through a unique, evidence-based approach that blends orthopedic and pelvic therapy. We’re here for anyone grappling with pelvic health concerns or mysterious, unresolved symptoms that could be linked to pelvic floor dysfunction. Our goal is to help each patient achieve lasting wellness and reclaim the life they deserve.

Have you ever had to pivot?
Pivoting is an inevitable part of any journey—and for me, that pivotal moment came when I realized that the traditional healthcare model was limiting my ability to provide the level of care I knew my patients needed. As a physical therapist, I’d always been driven by the desire to see people heal completely—not just manage symptoms, but truly get better. Over time, I noticed that the constraints of conventional practice models left little room for that kind of care. Appointments were rushed, and there was a strong focus on efficiency rather than effectiveness. It left me feeling frustrated and, honestly, a bit heartbroken.
That’s when I knew something had to change. I had a choice: stay within the system and continue to feel constrained, or take a leap of faith and create something new. That’s when Oncore Physical Therapy was born. I pivoted from being an employee to becoming a business owner—a shift that was as challenging as it was necessary. The transition wasn’t just logistical—it was mental, emotional, and spiritual. It meant leaving behind the security of a steady paycheck and diving into the unknown with nothing but faith in my purpose.
Starting Oncore wasn’t easy. I had to learn how to run a business, hire a team, manage operations, and market my services—all while staying true to my vision of holistic, patient-centered care. There were moments of doubt and growing pains, but I stayed anchored in my “why.” I’d remind myself that I’d made this shift to create something better—a space where patients could feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal. Knowing that my work was directly impacting the lives of men, women, children, and athletes who needed support kept me going.
The most rewarding part of this pivot has been witnessing the long-term transformations of our patients. At Oncore, we’re not just helping people feel better temporarily—we’re addressing the root cause of their issues so they can experience lasting relief. I’ve seen women regain their confidence after childbirth trauma, athletes return to peak performance, and people of all ages rediscover the joy of pain-free living. It’s proof that the pivot was worth it.
This experience taught me that pivots aren’t signs of failure—they’re signs of growth. Sometimes, the discomfort of staying where you are outweighs the fear of change. When that moment comes, you have to trust that your purpose will guide you. My story is a testament to the power of following that inner voice and being brave enough to build something better for yourself and for those you’re called to serve.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience has been a defining theme throughout my journey with Oncore Physical Therapy, but one story stands out. It was the early days of launching the business—a time filled with excitement but also uncertainty. I’d taken the leap from being an employee in a structured healthcare system to becoming an entrepreneur responsible for every aspect of a growing practice. There were sleepless nights, moments of doubt, and times when I questioned if I’d made the right decision.
One particular challenge tested me more than I could have imagined. Just a few months after opening our doors, we faced an unexpected shift in the local healthcare landscape. Referrals from trusted sources slowed, and I had to confront the harsh reality that patients weren’t going to just “find us” on their own. It was a pivotal moment that required me to pivot my entire approach to marketing and outreach.
Rather than retreat, I dug in. I focused on education and advocacy, speaking at community events, offering free workshops, and creating valuable content online about the importance of pelvic floor health. I shared my personal story, connecting with patients on a human level. Slowly but steadily, people began to see the unique value we offered. They saw that we weren’t just treating symptoms—we were transforming lives by addressing the root causes of pain and dysfunction.
But resilience didn’t stop at marketing. I had to remain steady in the face of financial strain, juggling payroll, overhead, and operational costs with fewer patients than anticipated. Each week, I reassessed our strategy and leaned on my faith, my support system, and my belief in our mission. I learned to celebrate small wins—a new patient referral, a positive review, or a patient’s breakthrough moment in therapy. These milestones reminded me of the “why” behind it all.
Today, I look back at those tough moments with gratitude. They taught me that resilience isn’t about being unshakable—it’s about being flexible enough to adapt, determined enough to keep moving, and humble enough to seek help when needed. That experience shaped how I lead my team and support our patients. When patients walk into Oncore facing their own battles with pain, I’m able to meet them with empathy and understanding because I’ve lived it. Resilience is woven into every part of my story, and it’s what makes Oncore stronger today.
