Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jiron Griffin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jiron, appreciate you joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
Truly I love how everything is unfolding right now at this pace and at this very moment. Yes, some times I think to myself like “dang I wish I would’ve started earlier” but I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I’ve learned so much within these past few months not only about my craft but also myself. That has helped me with ideas and bringing that idea to life. Lets say I did start in high school before I moved to Atlanta personally I don’t think back then I had the mindset I needed to get to the levels I’m trying to reach. I didn’t have the discipline nor the consistency that I have now. Separating myself from my given environment and placing myself in an environment that was new and uncomfortable at first has helped me a lot. I’ve found my flow with my creative process because of the things I’ve been through and learned on my journey here in Atlanta. I came here 4 years ago on my own, attending college not knowing how or where to start to begin making my mark in the Entertainment/Film industry. Coming from a small city where there are little to no resources surrounding that type of career I started with what was put in front of me which was social media.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m from Augusta,Ga born and raised, I moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University and pursue my film career 4 years ago. I have my own production company called DRēM Visualz which was started in 2021. I’m also a content creator I mostly make skits on Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube. I’ve had a few viral moments the first half of this year alone which has helped me begin building my platform. I want to help as many people as I can using my knowledge and this upcoming platform that I have to achieve their goals in their personal life. I also want to help bring those resources that I didn’t have growing up in Augusta to Augusta for the upcoming talented Entertainers and Entrepreneurs located there.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is being able to put a smile on peoples faces. Everybody goes through stuff and being able to be the reason a persons day is changed just a little means a lot to me.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
It was a point in my journey where I was lost and confused about what my main goal was which killed all motivation to create content which was the main thing that was going to help me achieve my goals. I took a year long hiatus from content took down all of my videos from IG and tried a different path. Which wasn’t all bad because I developed a skill that was needed and helped me be more creative which was photography. It was hard for me to make content at that time because I was looking for inspiration to do what I loved from other people which was the main mistake. Fast forward a year later I decided I was ready to return to my roots. It was too late to give up and I knew I didn’t give it 100% so I started back up at first I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted but I knew all it took was for me to get one so I kept working and being consistent. Just this summer I have accumulated well over 15M views on Instagram.
