Jina, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Bella Couture Bella Couture Takes a holistic approach to wellness.

With a background in wellness and beauty. I have always be a conscious individual. However, at the height of COVID we all had to pivot in our careers and life as we knew it. The pandemic dramatically altered all of our perception of wellness and beauty. We have never before seen so many health conscious, individuals aware of how their choices would ultimately affect their well being. As our perception of wellness changed, our notion of beauty has evolved as well. There is so much insight on how the two parallel. After many hours of research trying to find a solution to help myself as well as others, BellaCouture was birthed.

Beauty and wellness are so deeply intertwined with our culture, personal identity and social standards. It was important for us to have a clear stance, a focused vision and an optimal Mission.

We knew we had to do something and the time was now.

Let’s first get a clear definition of “Wellness” –
1. the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal. If I may, let’s extend the definition- “the state of being in good health “ physically, mentally and spiritually. Which will also enhance outward beauty
With this being not only our vision but our mission we created several products to help aid and support an optimal lifestyle.

A Humanitarian’s heart

A tragedy turned triumph. What most would see as the end Jina has decided to see it as a New beginning.
Dealing with domestic violence which lead to a divorce, I decided to channel my energy into something positive. What I had experienced was much bigger than me. I ask myself “How can I help others  dealing with these issues. Often you feel very alone, with no way out. I knew that I did not want anyone else to experience what I had survived.
The timing was pivotal , not only was I going through a divorce but it was the height of COVID. As a beauty expert, I had no source of income. All I knew was you must survive. In order to do that I needed to be flexible, think out of the box and of course what we all had to do “pivot.” In the beauty industry I have clients with alopécica or dealing with cancer. I made wigs but how could I help my clients as well as others and support those dealing with domestic violence. Prayer and writing became my initial therapy. From that came “Your Future Is Bright “Affirmation and vision journal; which I consider the prerequisite to my book( out Spring 2023) . But that wasn’t enough to really help others. In the transition I found a book that I had written a vision in for my product line. This was it ! I could help clients, donate a portion to domestic violence and continue to help the underprivileged communities. In search of who could help make my dream a reality, I found a chemist that worked with me to create BellaCouture an all natural hair care line infused with CBD. I did not want my products tested on animals. I did not want parabens  or sulfates in them. I wanted my products to be all vegan. The goal was to help and prevent hair loss. Thus BellaCouture was born

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I believe in everything you do, the people you touch and the opportunities you have always do it with a pure heart, pure intentions. Being authentic has helped and continues to help build a solid reputation. I also live by a rule in which I share with my mentees. What Which is focus on Nurturing the the relationships the money and success will come.
