We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jimmy Le. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jimmy below.
Jimmy, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I’ve been doing music as a Vietnamese rapper that rap in Vietnamese since 2007. I grew up in a family that love music and celebrities. I’ve always wanted to impress my family, I always fantasized one day, my family would watch TV and all of suddenly they would see me on there. 2009, on a trip back to my country from the States after graduated from high school. I got an opportunity and I took it, I was one of the first Vietnamese rapper that got on TV in Vietnam as Rap Music was something very new and not very well liked for the culture. My music “career” started from there. The thing is, I never do music as a career. It was always been something I lean to, more like a hobby that I can express my feeling in. Until this day, to me it is still not a career, even when I go on tour, it’s more like a free vacation, and will probably going to be like that forever.
I’ve been in the beauty industry since I started making money, specifically Nails. I’ve been a Nail Tech, Nails Salon Manager, Nails Salon Owner, even Nails Supplier for a short period. After 12 years, I realized it was never for me. I made good money, but I did not love my job. My biggest fear was if I quit this work, what am I going to do to bring the money in to support the family. What if my new adventure won’t work out, then I’ll be in a deeper hole. After years of thinking, plus the big hit of Covid, I was forced to let my salon go, that’s when I decided I will not live like this forever. I decided to start on a new journey to do what I truly love to do.
I always love car and modify car, so I went and start a online car parts store. I love it so much, it went so well. I named the company GATAZO, a word I made out of my kids’ names (Gabby, Thien-Anh, Enzo). Mean while, I also started to go to Real Estate classes to become a Real Estate agent. I’ve always wanted to become a realtor. Sales is one of my specialty, I found that about myself when I was in a MLM company and did very well for a 21 years old at the time, and I’ve met a lot Realtors through out the time, each and every time Ive always thought : I can do what they do, but better. I talked to a few successful Realtors, got my license, talked to some more successful ones in the industry , and I got lucky, got an opportunity to be a part of a very successful up coming real estate team – the La’Tep Real Estate Group. I got great Team Leaders, whom showed me every step of the way, from how to get the best deals for my clients in a worry-free transaction, to how to deal with other agents in the industry with respect. Thank you so much Amy Tep, Kim La and La’Tep Group ! I wouldn’t know Real Estate without you all.
In the end of the day, my ultimate goal is to make everyone happy. I want my music fans to be happy listen to my songs, lit at my performance . I want GATAZO’s consumers cars to look great ! I want my clients to be happy ever after in their dream homes ! Ultimately, I will continue to do my best at everything I do, so I can give my family the life they dream of, that’s my dream.
Jimmy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I love music. when I was little, when I listen to music, I always have wondered how I would sound if I record music like these artist. At age 15, I baby sat for my mom’s old boss that summer. 3 months later I saved enough for a laptop, and that’s when I found out how I sounded like, and the rest is history. I loved the music I was doing with my friends. I can say whatever I wanted, however I feel. Me and my group, FSR – Free Spirit Rap, we live up to our name. Even we have mainstream projects, never once we have to write what anybody want us to write.
About Real Estate, everyone have their own niche. For me, I’ll never miss my clients’ calls. I’ll find whatever they’re looking for until we find it. I’ll do everything I could to make my clients happy, specially worry-free.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My energy, dignity, and honesty. Doesn’t matter what the situation is, I use all my energy to get the job done, to ensure my clients that they can trust me. I’m here for the long run, money doesn’t come first for me.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Ask for feedbacks, listen to it and execute it. It’s a business, a business needs clients, so if you’re about your business, then it is all about your clients and what the clients want.
