We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jim Spilios. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jim below.
Hi Jim , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I’ve written 100 songs and programmed them to be spread over 10 albums. The goal is to record these in a professional setting with talented producers.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a teenager I realized I had a talent for writing songs. I made a 5 song demo tape in 1972(reel to reel!) which drew interest from RCA. It didn’t come to fruition. I scuffled about and made a 10 song demo in 1979. Again, no dice. I continued writing and in the year of COVID I put these 10 albums together. I was easily discouraged in my younger years, but I never doubted my talent. It’s an epic dream 50 years in the making, and now I’m determined to make it happen.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’m 72 years old, and this passion for music has always been a part of me. I didn’t always pursue my dream as fiercely as I should have, but now, that is my holy grail.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I have no feelings about what society can or cannot offer.
