Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jim Kinsey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jim, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I didn’t start out as the CEO of Global Accountability Corporation. Actually I answered a phone call from a gentlemen that wanted me to help produce a video on a product he had developed. That initial conversation led me to see what this person had created which ultimately led to me becoming the Chief Media Officer and the product being further developed. That product was initially called the “Accountability Badge”. With the rise of police and citizen conflicts in America in July of 2020 I was tasked with helping build a c corp and develop a deescalation tool through the use of NFC technology. Three years later I am at the helm with a new product built to restore citizen and police relations through the tap of a smart card or scan on a QR code. That product is called the Police Smart Card.
Jim, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For people who don’t know me I often get asked what I do and my go to answer is I am a producer and host of a TV series. I have been producing award winning programming for 24 years. My current series is Advanture Hunter on the Sportsman’s Channel which airs every Monday night at 8:30 &11pm EST and Thursdays at 5pm EST. My Van Life show is based on sustainability and driven buy adventure. As a media professional, my job has allowed me to hang out with some of the most interesting people imaginable. Over my career I have hosted several TV series, executive produced many others and have been asked to conceptualize new shows for other networks. I am a writer with many articles appearing in such magazines a video maker, POST, Sports Afield and even Bow hunting magazine. I am a hunter and conservationist at heart and can’t believe I get paid to do what I love.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The number one thing I believe that helped me build my reputation is let your work speak for itself. I don’t have to advertise because anyone that knows my work ethic and final product knows they are in good hands when they work with me. I always tell people over deliver on what you’ve promised and you will have a client for life. The same holds true for the current c corp I am running. Our software over delivers on what sheriff departments and police chiefs are asking for nationwide and I believe this will help us keep our clients coming back for years to come.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Funny thing about pivoting in life and taking a new direction. As of wring this article I am in a pivotal point in time where I am trading everything I have ever learned in producing and living the life of a TV host for bringing real change to America and then the world with our technology. I love producing and storytelling but if for a moment I could save one police officers life with a positive validation from a citizen using our technology or retain more police to protect the communities they love, I would give up the career I love to do so! I am literally, at the writing of this article, pivoting into a full time CEO of a tech company that is bringing technology to the masses to help restore citizen and police relations and much much more. I call this the Pivot of all pivots.
