We recently connected with Jihwan Jeon and have shared our conversation below.
Jihwan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope to leave behind a legacy that reflects a genuine passion for design and storytelling. Through my work, I want to be remembered as someone who bridged cultures, bringing together influences from different subcultures, fashion, and street culture in a way that resonated with people on a deeper level. I believe design has the power to connect people, and I hope my contributions help inspire others to explore their own creativity and embrace diverse perspectives.
More than anything, I want to be remembered for being authentic in my approach—someone who wasn’t afraid to take risks and experiment, but always remained true to their values and vision. I hope people will say that my work was thoughtful, engaging, and that it left a lasting impact on both the industry and the communities I was a part of.

Jihwan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a designer who is deeply inspired by the intersection of culture, fashion, and street style. My approach to design revolves around creating visual stories that connect with people on a meaningful level. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, I aim to build narratives that resonate with a diverse audience, making design a tool for communication and expression.
What sets me apart is my ability to merge bold, typographic-driven visuals with deeper cultural significance. I believe design should push boundaries while staying true to its core message, and I’m always exploring new ways to achieve that balance. I take pride in staying authentic to my vision while continually evolving and learning from the world around me.
I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with teams who share a passion for creativity and cultural relevance. I look forward to learning from others while contributing my own perspective to projects that push the boundaries of design.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The goal driving my creative journey is to connect people through design. I’ve always believed that design is more than just creating something visually appealing—it’s a tool for communication and storytelling. My mission is to take the different elements of culture, whether it’s fashion, street style, or typography, and weave them into designs that resonate with a wide audience.
I want my work to encourage people to see things from new perspectives, to reflect on the stories and experiences that shape who we are. Ultimately, I hope that my designs can spark conversations and foster a deeper understanding of the world around us.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the freedom to explore new ideas and turn them into something tangible. The process of taking an abstract thought and transforming it into a visual story is incredibly fulfilling. There’s something special about seeing how people react to and connect with a design that started as just an idea in my mind.
It’s also rewarding to know that my work can have an impact—whether it’s making someone think differently, feel inspired, or simply appreciate the beauty in everyday moments. That connection with others through my work is what makes being a creative so meaningful to me.
