We were lucky to catch up with Jiahan Fan recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Jiahan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?

As a creative artist, I find my work to be both fun and challenging. It’s a great feeling to have the freedom to explore different creative expressions and to transform my ideas into visually striking works. This type of work is very fulfilling and allows me to continuously grow and develop as an artist.

Throughout my career, I’ve always sought freedom and independence, as this allows me to work and create at my own pace. While the industry can be unstable at times, I enjoy challenging myself and trying out new ideas and techniques. This approach has helped me to become a better artist and to constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Of course, there are times when I wonder what it would be like to work in a more structured environment. However, I realize that it’s important to pursue my dreams and passions rather than just working to survive. As long as I continue to work hard and stay motivated, I believe that I can achieve my goals and live a fulfilling life as an artist.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hello! I’m Jiahan, an independent artist who embarked on my artistic journey after completing my master’s degree at the Academy of Art University. Though unsure of my future career path at the time, my passion for art was always present. During my college years, I discovered my aptitude for creativity and recognized the vast potential of the art industry. Consequently, I began participating in various art exhibitions and competitions to hone my skills and showcase my work, hoping to convey my creative style and artistic philosophy to others.

I have a penchant for exploring various art forms, including painting, illustration, sculpture, digital art, and more, though I excel in painting and illustration. I aim to convey emotions and ideas through my works, hoping to create resonance with viewers. Additionally, I aspire to expose more people to traditional culture and art, enabling them to appreciate their beauty and value.

As a contract artist for Ehelp, I’m particularly proud of my digital art exploration and innovation. I create visual artworks and turn them into NFT, thereby opening up more possibilities for digital art. I believe that digital art is a future trend that allows more people to understand and appreciate art while providing artists with more freedom and creative space to express their ideas and emotions better.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

In my opinion, NFT is an incredibly promising area within the digital art market. As digital technology advances, people are becoming increasingly aware of and interested in digital art, and the emergence of NFT provides a more sustainable creative environment for digital artists. For artists, NFT offers protection of their work’s copyright, granting them greater control over their creative output and more opportunities to display and sell their art in the digital market. For collectors, NFT provides a better investment and collecting experience, making it easier to own and trade digital artworks. Of course, as with any new technology, NFT faces challenges and controversies such as price fluctuations and environmental impacts. However, I believe that these issues will be gradually resolved over time. Overall, I am very optimistic and confident in the future of NFT. I believe it will bring new development opportunities and vast creative spaces for digital art, while also bringing more value and profitability to artists and collectors alike.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

As an artist, I believe that creativity and uniqueness are the most valuable aspects of my work. In order to create works that stand out in today’s era of information explosion, artists need to possess a distinct creativity and style that sets them apart from others. This requires a willingness to constantly learn, explore, take risks, and experiment in order to bring their creative ideas and concepts to life. It is through these unique ideas and concepts that artists are able to capture the attention and admiration of audiences and the market.

However, in addition to creativity and uniqueness, being an artist also requires a foundation of solid professional skills and a mindset of constant improvement. Only by continuously honing their skills can artists truly realize their ideas and concepts, and continue to grow and evolve over time. By staying committed to their craft, artists are able to not only enhance their own creative expression, but also make a valuable contribution to the world of art and culture.
