Jhazzy , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

When I first started doing music I would go to a lot of open Mics in San Diego California. It’s what Ultimately got me into making music professionally. The vibe was out of this world! Being surrounded by other artists was the most amazing experience. And I always thought that we needed one in my own city Denver Colorado. FlashForward a few years I was finally able to put this idea into motion. We are now in our second year of Wolf Wednesday Open Mic

Jhazzy , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hi my name is Jhazzy Wolf and I am the creator of wolf Wednesdays Open Mic. Wolf Wednesdays is a platform for local talent to express themselves. We give out dope prizes to help further an artists careers & try to help open up more doors for the artists. I like to think of us as a Wolf Pack who collectively came together to support one another and grow in our city! So whether you are an artist or an art lover come down and catch a vibe

How did you build your audience on social media?

Growing my brand on Instagram was not easy. It definitely took a lot of time and patience to get where I am today. Before I even went to social media I really started in person with flyers and putting posters up in the city and really just a word of mouth. Once I finally transferred into a Instagram, are used hashtags to track down artist and people who love art and started following them and commenting on their pictures and ultimately they would follow me back. Eventually I figured out how to run ads and that helped me grow tremendously. Being able to target a demographic and picking the type of interest they have really real in a lot of people. For any businesses starting on Instagram I would definitely suggest putting some money into running ads

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

What helped us build our reputation was really the platform we created. When you become part of our Wolfpack it opens up a new door of opportunities! we have been able to refer artists to bigger shows, Get them on podcast, and we even offer free studio time!

When we started gaining so much traction that I landed a sponsor who wanted to give out a cash prize to the best artist. After that I had the idea to start incentivizing shows and giving out more than just cash but opportunities to grow their careers. Now we are a home for independent artist to grow. Which really gave us a great reputation. It was our community that made us stronger and what we are today.
