We were lucky to catch up with Jeyson Herrera recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeyson, appreciate you joining us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
“My parents instilled in me the importance of honesty, integrity, and having unwavering faith in what I do. They taught me that success starts with believing in myself and in the path I choose, but always guided by values and principles rooted in God. From a young age, they emphasized that our actions must reflect a commitment to doing what is right, not just for ourselves but for others as well. This foundation of faith and strong moral values has been the compass that guides me in every aspect of my life, both personally and professionally.”

Jeyson, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Jeyson Herrera, a dreamer at heart and a passionate Colombian racing driver. As the manager of Kart Rising, the company representing the T4 Series, I dedicate myself to promoting and growing this incredible project while helping young talents chase their dreams. Though I’m deeply committed to building opportunities for others, my own dream of becoming a world champion remains very much alive. With faith, perseverance, and hard work, I believe anything is possible.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Well, I’ve been involved in a sport that wasn’t always accessible to me due to the high costs—karting and car racing. However, with faith and perseverance, I’m now in a position to help others make it work, even if they don’t have a huge budget. I remain a dreamer and a man of faith who wants to help others make their dreams come true. My journey began about 15 years ago in Colombia, and now, with the T4 Series in the US, I want to inspire people to believe in their dreams and pursue them relentlessly.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I stopped racing professionally at the age of 18 due to a lack of sponsors. I then pursued a degree in business management, driven by the goal of ‘creating a business capable of sponsoring my dreams.’ Now, I’m back in the racing world, chasing those dreams once again. But this time, I’m not only focused on my journey—I’m also dedicated to helping others grow. I help racing business owners, including teams and tracks, expand their operations while supporting drivers who aspire to reach the top of motorsports. My approach is business-minded, aiming to provide opportunities for both the businesses and the individuals who make up the racing community. I remain a dreamer and a man of faith, committed to making dreams come true for others
