We were lucky to catch up with Jewells Hingorani recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jewells, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

After graduating from David Pressley School of Cosmetology I took my talent to New York where I was hired at the prestigious Garren Salon in Manhattan. There I made clip-in extensions. I had to sew tracks together to make them thick enough to look full. I realized the industry did not have a thick good quality clip-in hair extension line. I always dreamed of having my own product line and I just knew this was it! I was so excited to come out with this product because I knew you couldn’t find it anywhere. I figured what better way by enhancing your hair the healthy way!

Jewells, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Starting at the age of seven, I began my career early on. After graduating from David Pressley School of Cosmetology I took my talent to New York where I was hired at the prestigious Garren Salon in Manhattan. There I styled editorials for Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, Details, Citizen K magazine and worked on set in the presence of Victoria Beckham and Fashion Week with Anna Sui. My experience ranges from high fashion to celebrity media labels suchas Calvin Klein, Miss New York 2008 and Make Me A Supermodel to name a few. Upon my return to Metro-Detroit I’ve styled editorials such as Styleline Magazine, Christian Dior, Ambassador Magazine and more. Jewell Clip was created to provide a healthier way to enhance the appearance of hair without any damaging after effects.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think my passion and honesty built my reputation. My products also speak for themselves. They’re the best quality human hair and I designed them for all types of people.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Jewell clip luxury hair extensions are such good quality it lasts years so I’m always looking for new clients. Most clients come from Social media, client and stylist referral.
