Alright, Jewel of Giovanni thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?

I am thrilled to be a creative; however, sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a regular job. I want my audience to understand that I’ve always worked for myself, not because I didn’t want a regular job, but because I never got the opportunity. Working for myself has been a challenge, but it’s pushed me to become the best version of myself. While it is fun, it’s definitely not easy. There are so many tasks and responsibilities that can be overwhelming. Sometimes, I daydream about how much easier and cheaper things would be with a regular job – no significant responsibilities to worry about and not being the boss. But maybe it’s just not in the cards for me because no employer has given me the opportunity to experience it. If the opportunity arises later in life, I’m open to experiencing it.

Every graphic bears my touch. I am the mastermind behind this enchanting creation, and I thank God for it daily. Seeing my dedicated work finally gaining recognition from the public is incredibly fulfilling.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

At Jewel of Giovanni, we want everyone to embrace the magical essence of creativity and understand that each creation is a masterpiece meticulously crafted with passion and skill. Imagine the thrill of bringing your vision to life through art. It’s a journey that requires patience, dedication, and unwavering commitment. It can be challenging to convey your exact vision to others unless you can express it clearly and if they can properly understand it.

The idea of our clothing line was conceived in August 2022 and has been a labor of love. It is September 2024, and our journey continues, filled with exciting projects and new horizons. Every garment, every design, and every word you see is a product of one individual’s creativity and dedication. We believe in the power of patience and the value of time because great art cannot be rushed. That being said, out of excitement, it may be harder for others to fully understand and accept that.
