We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jevona Fudge. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jevona below.
Jevona, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope that any discussion about my life and my life’s work will end with two words. “Well Done”. It is my daily goal to work to change one life in a positive way
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Jevona Fudge. I am the owner of Detroit Sip which is the happening coffee shop in Northwest Detroit. We sell coffee drinks creatively named after All Things Detroit. We offer sweet and savory treats and are in the process of expanding our vegan offerings.
I am most proud of the positive impact the shop has had in assisting in the revitalization of our neighborhood.
Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
Business (financially ) has always been up but it’s been a little more strenuous since Covid. I was sitting at the table concerned about payroll expenses. I received a call/text from Pastor Genetta from The Room Church looking to deposit into the business with a seed of 400.00. She also encouraged members of the Church to come and check us out.
What blessing and at the right time!!!!
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Treat people better than they expect to be treated.
