We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jevon Woods. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jevon below.
Jevon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I believe that everything in my life happens in divine order so I know that I’m right on time with this part of my life and the creative process.. I started painting 7 years ago, but also loved art and drawing as far back as I can remember.. I don’t wish would have started sooner or later.. I’m grateful for the timing of all things in my life … My life has always been a work of art in progress

Jevon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I think art/creating has always been apart of my being to some degree and at times I didn’t fully acknowledge it.. Being a artist and primarily working with oil & acrylic paints on wood and canvas, but always exploring and open to new ways to express.. Art is life and being true to my expressions of it is everything.. I’ve been painting for 8 years, but have always been drawn towards art and drawing as a kid.. I remember drawing on the walls, inside school books, sidewalk chalk and always had a sketchbook.. .. I’ve dedicated my life to art and the exploration of it and myself..

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The freedom to create!!! Our whole lives are a series of creative choices, ideas, actions, experiences.. We are all creators – We can create moods, art, opportunities and magic.. If I can’t create then I’m stuck.. Creating gives me a freedom and liberates my mind and spirit

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I just want to always have the space, freedom and time to create whenever I want to.. I’ve dedicated my life to growing as a human and as artist.. I think the thing that drives me is a deeper spiritual connection and something outside of myself, but something that I’m reconnecting with daily.. I feel like I’m just getting started each day and I’m excited for where the journey has taken.me and where I’m going.. Just grateful
