We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jett LaFever. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jett below.
Jett, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
My brand is makeupbyjett. My family always called me Jett as a kid because my Dad said I was to unique to just be Jess. I have always been so creative, and inspired by passion and artistry. I used to play with my moms makeup as a child and recreate movie characters. I embrace that everyone is different, and has there own idea of beauty. My goal is to help clients feel beautiful and still be themselves, I just help them sparkle.

Jett, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been a professional makeup artist since 2014. I went to college for musical theater and was always doing everyone’s makeup. Since I was 7 years old I played with makeup, I have done everything from film, stage, events, runway, commercial, photo shoots and my favorite bridal. I strive to give each and every client the perfect experience. I want to see that beautiful smile when I turn a client around and they not only feel beautiful, but they feel like the best version of themselves. I love to make people happy, that has always been my number one goal in business. I Offer makeup experiences, and hope that for the rest of time I impact my clients life for the better. I do my best to listen to all my clients requests and give them exactly what they require to feel perfect. For all my clients current, past and future, I promise to listen, and give you the best makeup experience and help you sparkle the way you want. I am based all over South and North California.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think my reputation is based on not only my skill, but my passion for my clients. In the makeup world, word of mouth is the most important

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The moment I see my client smile, is why I do what I do. My heart feels full when my clients are genuinely happy. That inner sparkle is what it is all about.
