We were lucky to catch up with Jett Arredondo recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jett, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I think it takes a heck of a lot to be successful. Being a small business owner is no easy feat. It takes commitment, discipline, grit, fortitude, the willingness to get knocked down over and over again, but the ability to get back up.

Entrepreneurship is a long journey and there are no shortcuts. Success comes from learning to enjoy the ride, accepting that you’ll experience obstacles, but adapting, overcoming, and growing. It takes a commitment to Self. Being brutally honest with yourself and asking if you’re willing to pay the price. Admitting when you’ve made mistakes, being able to fully trust and depend on yourself to follow through, and having complete faith in your mission, vision, and purpose. To be your ultimate best self, you have to commit to the ongoing pursuit of achieving your true potential. Success is progressive and ever-evolving, there’s no finish line.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is being able to use my creative ability to help others. Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

I believe the best way to grow your clientele is getting yourself in the same room with the people you want to do work with.

I like to say that I don’t “Network”, I build relationships. I am passionate about getting to know people and understanding their story. In-person connections have always been the most effective way of growing my community.
