We were lucky to catch up with Jessie Vassie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
The first time Ive gotten revenue for my music I was 14 years of age! It was easy and made me want o keep pushing in persuing. The story is i was in the mall in Atlanta Ga. and this was the time CD had took over in the audio world, my Father and Mother were the managers of the group i was in with my siblings called the KC MO Bucks and we were on the verge of being signed to a lable out of Las Vegas (Not saying a Name). But they had sent us boxes and boxes of disk with our music on it and my dad had an idea that we sale them to get our clothing and things for our shows!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I had to unlearn was me doing the things of the streets, I had to put street hustling behind me and utilize the same methods towards my music.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
What drives this mission is knowing that I'[m able to help the ones that look to me for help in ant kind of way.
