We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jessie Beverly. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jessie below.
Jessie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
One of the most visible shifts right now is the embrace of bold, sculptural statement pieces—think oversized chain necklaces, dramatic geometric earrings, and sculpted cuff bracelets. I witnessed this firsthand at my Sip & Bead show when a client layered three different chain styles—each in a subtly different finish—and instantly turned heads. That moment underscored how consumers are craving jewelry that feels as confident as their outfit, elevating accessories from afterthoughts to focal points.
At the same time, sustainability has moved from buzzword to baseline expectation. Recycled metals, lab‑grown gemstones, and up-cycled materials are no longer niche; they’re rapidly becoming table stakes for fashion‑forward brands. I love that this trend forces us, as designers, to vet every link in our supply chain and to tell genuinely green stories. Yet, with that comes the risk of greenwashing: if we can’t transparently show where our metals and stones come from, we lose credibility—and customers.
Personalization and layering remain evergreen, but they’ve taken on fresh life in the current market. Birthstone stacking, mixed‑metal sets, and interchangeable charms allow wearers to curate their own narratives. The opportunity here is huge: offering modular collections not only drives repeat purchases but deepens emotional connection. The flip side, though, is that small‑batch artisans must master inventory complexity and communicate clearly so clients aren’t overwhelmed by choices.
For me, these trends represent a golden opportunity to marry eye‑catching design with responsible craftsmanship. By staying true to quality materials and telling the story behind each piece, we can command premium pricing while building lasting trust. The designers who thrive will be those who turn today’s demands for drama and transparency into a seamless, unforgettable experience—just as that Sip & Bead show layering demo taught me the power of letting jewelry speak for itself.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About Jessie Beverly I’m Jessie Beverly, the founder and lead designer behind Everything That Glitters, LLC and the Jessie-Beverly Collections. My passion for jewelry was born in the 1990s, when I was introduced to the world of jewelry design at a high end jewelry store back home in the Virgin Islands. With no formal training, just a deep curiosity, I began hand‑stringing seed beads, teaching myself color, pattern, and proportion. That spark of inspiration led me to embrace semi‑precious gemstones and, ultimately, the radiant brilliance of Swarovski crystals.
Today, I carry forward a family legacy of craftsmanship to my grandkids and generatins to come—by creating heirloom‑quality pieces that blend timeless techniques with modern flair.
Craftsmanship & Collections Over the years, my work has grown from simple beadwork into signature bridal collections—Modern Minimalist, Bohemian, Regal Glamour, and Ethereal pieces. I use ethically sourced materials such as freshwater and cultured pearls, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, and gold‑filled components to ensure every piece is as responsible as it is beautiful. Beyond bridal, Everything That Glitters offers on‑trend fashion jewelry: stacking bangles, birthstone necklaces, layered chains, and one‑off statement pieces that keep self‑expression at the forefront.
Services & Client Experiences
I believe in making the design process personal and memorable. My Sip & Shop and Sip & Bead events invite clients into my creative studio—whether in‑person or virtually—where they can select materials, learn basic techniques, and co‑create pieces that tell their unique stories. For brides, I offer private consultations to design custom wedding day adornments. For fashion clients, I provide styling sessions and build‑your‑own sets, ensuring every piece resonates with the wearer’s style and story.
Problems Solved & Differentiators
In a sea of mass‑market accessories, I solve two core challenges for my clients:
Meaningful Personalization: From engraving family initials to selecting custom birthstone palettes, each creation becomes a personal talisman, not just “another accessory.”
Sustainable Luxury: By vetting every supplier, embracing recycled metals and gemstones, and transparently sharing sourcing stories, I deliver pieces that let clients indulge guilt‑free.
What truly sets me apart is my commitment to story‑driven design. Every collection starts with a narrative—whether it’s a bride’s family heritage or a client’s personal milestone—and that story guides choice of shape, color, and material. Combined with my hands‑on background in beadwork and gemstone beading, this approach ensures each piece feels as unique as the individual wearing it.
Resilience & Longevity
Despite the challenges of the COVID‑19 pandemic and today’s economic headwinds, my brands have not only survived but thrived. When in‑person events paused in 2020, I pivoted to an enhanced e‑commerce experience, shipping custom pieces worldwide. Today, client loyalty remains high. Some have been with me since my early days in the Virgin Islands; a testament to the quality, care, and connection I infuse into every piece.
Proudest Achievements & What I Want You to Know
I’m most proud of the lasting relationships I’ve built: clients who still wear their custom designed pieces ten years later, brides who pass down Jessie Beverly designs as family heirlooms, and emerging artisans I’ve mentored to design their own jewelry.
My hope for potential clients and followers is simple:
You’ll find timeless designs that celebrate your individuality.
You’ll experience ethical craftsmanship backed by transparent sourcing.
You’ll join a community where every piece tells a story—and becomes a legacy you can pass on.
Thank you for letting me share my journey. Whether you’re seeking the perfect wedding keepsake or a bold everyday statement, I’m here to craft jewelry that feels as meaningful as it is beautiful—because you deserve nothing less than something that truly glitters.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media was anything but overnight—it was a journey marked by trial, trust, and ultimately, teamwork. For years, I have worn every hat myself: designer, photographer, graphic designer, etc. With a small team and a fiercely protective vision, I hesitated to hand off the reins. The result? Sporadic posts, half‑baked campaigns, and an engagement rate that flatlined.
The turning point came when I finally let go of perfectionism and invited a talented content collaborator on board. Together, we have refined my brand pillars—behind‑the‑scenes peeks at my gemstone selection and beadwork process, customer love stories, styling tips, and event highlights from Sip & Shop nights. This collaborator is working on showcasing content like, one late‑night time‑lapses of me beading a Swarovski‑crystal necklace for a bride‑to‑be. I’ve learned that people connect with process as much as product, and consistency beats perfection every time.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
As I mentioned earlier, for years, I wore every hat in the studio—designer, marketer, photographer, customer‑service rep, even packager—convinced that if I didn’t do it myself, it wouldn’t meet my standards. But that belief became my biggest roadblock. I vividly remember the week of my first big Sip & Shop event: I’d spent sleepless nights crafting sample pieces, writing social posts, doing all the graphics for advertisement, and coordinating catering details. In the end, I was so drained I had to be reminded that the client connections were equally as important and show up as my best self. I did not want my interactions to appear rushed and half‑hearted.
That experience forced me to confront a hard truth: my obsession with control was choking my creativity—and my business. I had to unlearn the idea that “doing it all” was a badge of honor. Instead, I learned to trust. I hired a freelance photographer whose visuals captured my work more beautifully than I ever could; I teamed up with a social‑media collaborator to craft consistent, on‑brand content. Suddenly, I had space to focus on what I love most: dreaming up new designs and engaging one‑on‑one with brides and clients.
Delegation didn’t just free up my time—it transformed my brand. My studio events became smoother, my online community grew faster, and I rediscovered the joy in every aspect of the craft. Letting go of perfectionism taught me that great teamwork amplifies, rather than dilutes, a vision. Now, I measure success not by how many hats I wear, but by the impact of the team we build together—creating jewelry that truly glitters and experiences that leave a lasting impression.
