We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Torres recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica , appreciate you joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
My business is named after the nick name my Grandma used to call me. My grandma Shirley was so special and was always my biggest supporter. She practically raised me so it was an honor to dedicate the name of my jewelry company in her memory.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I make quality custom beaded stretchy jewelry. The jewelry I design is made with yellow or rose gold filled beads or sterling silver beads. The best thing about the material I use is that it is tarnish resistant and can withstand repeated water exposure including a summer of swimming. Everything is custom to each client so you can request almost anything.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
At this point my best source of new clients is word of mouth referrals. I love when I hear from a new client that they saw a friend wearing a piece of jewelry I made and asked about it. it is so exciting to know my jewelry is out there being noticed by friends and family.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
The only way my business survives is by client loyalty. I stand by my jewelry and offer complimentary restringing and resizing of everything I make for the life of the jewelry. Instagram is a huge tool I use to keep in touch with clients. I am hoping to expand to a website soon.
