We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Soares a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
Haha , always. As a model & actress I am pushing myself & prepare myself for all sorts of things and always for how my work will be received by others, my vision my not be the same as yours but that’s why we don’t have the same set of eyes, the focus is always the positive part, I know and understand my craft and the market that I’m in receives it even better. If you are not my target audience then I don’t need to pay attention to your opinion.

I’m Jessica Adeyinka soares, I’m 28 years old I model and act, I’ve been modeling for a couple of years now and recently got into acting over the last few years, I must say i love my job and I’m always happy to see the results of my projects, I’ve been on investigation discovery, music videos , make up campaigns and more. Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I remember a good friend of mine was supportive of me and reposted some of my work earlier this year & if i didn’t have tough skin the negative comments would have broken me, lucky i know myself i know my achievements and my work and success aren’t determined by the mindset of others, .in this life people will always talk about you, you have to be tough, you have to work hard on your craft ; the whole world isn’t going to love you; love sometimes will come with hate but stand firm in your craft & God will always guide you.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Every year i set goals for myself, things that i consider milestones for my career, this years goal is to have a billboard in the United States and hopefully one out of the country . I’m always excited to broaden my reach
