We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Sijaric a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, thanks for joining us today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
As a body and energy worker as well as a past life regression hypnotherapist, I have numerous stories or helping people not only feel better in their body, but also in their spirit.
I had a man come to me recently who found it very hard to walk. His legs and his hips were locked up over years of injury going unattended.
After his third session of massage therapy with me he was finally able to walk without discomfort and begin to start engaging in the activities he loved to do once again such as play golf and go on walks with his grandson. He was so grateful for this improvement that he became emotional. This is why I love the work I do. There is nothing like bringing a client back into a comfortable body and helping improve their quality of life.
Another recent client of mine was injured in a skiing incident. She way bed ridden in the Aspen hospital for 3 weeks. She had me come in to do energy work on her as well as hypnotherapy. Through our session together she was able to get relief in her body for the first time since her hospital stay. During the hypnotherapy session she was visited by her Mom and Dad who had crossed over to the other side at least 10 years prior.
They reassured her that they were with her at all time, holding her up in love and light and that she would have a speedy recovery if she meditated on her healing body daily. She was so moved by the experience that she had me come back 5 days later and conduct another hypnotherapy and reiki session.
This time time she was experiencing conflict with her brother who lived in another state and was not coming to visit her in the hospital. We went into the heart space during hypnosis and she was able to untangle childhood resentment that they both were holding on to over the years. I guided her to heal the energy between then with her mind and her heart.
The next day her brother called her to tell her he decided to come see her in the hospital. They had a heart warming reunion filled with tears and love that healed years of pent-up resentment towards each other. They now have a very healthy relationship again that they have not experienced since childhood.

Jessica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My dream job since I was a young woman was to make a difference when working with people. I desired to help them bridge healing through integrating all aspects of the human experience.
I first because a personal trainer and quickly learned that that was only one slice of the pie. People desiring to lose weight or become stronger needed more in depth work than just addressing the body. They needed mental and spiritual shifts as well to truly achieve success.
So not only was I able to train their bodies, I was able to use hypnosis to help them achieve the motivation the needed to make a lifestyle shift as well as massaging their sore bodies from exercise.
That was only the begining…
I traveled to Iraq as a civilian contractor working in a war zone with the US troops.
I led guided meditation classes to help them release PTSD so they would not bring it back to their families upon returning home. I also led group fitness classes to keep them in shape and offered massage as well.
I had one troop in particular tell me that this is the most relaxed he has ever been in his life; while in a war zone no less!
So much goes into the human experience and a well rounded approach often yield life long result of health and wellness. Addressing the body without addressing the mind and the spirit will only help to achieve temporary results. The true healing comes when the mind (hypnosis/guided meditation), body (fitness and massage), and spirit (Reiki, meditation, and hypnosis) are all integrated together.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
The most helpful resource I bring to my profession is offering up a safe space for clients to truly release and let go. Making each client feel genuinely heard and cared for. When clients can be themselves and truly let their guards down in the presence and know they will be deeply cared for, deep healing can occur.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
I can honestly say I have made my dreams come true as a health and wellness professional. They only thing I would choose differently is to invest in ever deeper levels of training such as studying abroad and attending more training courses. These are still options I have available to me now, but my business rarely lets me take the time off work needed to complete studies abroad.
There are deeper levels of training that I desire to tap into as well but the cost adds up.
I love what I do with all my heart. Im glad I took a chance on following my dreams and sticking to the vision I had in helping people change their lives for the better.
