We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Scott recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I started with weddings, but what I really fell in love with was the art of storytelling. Whether I’m designing a luxury event, curating content for high-end brands, or sharing my own journey in elevated living, my goal is always the same—to create a world that feels intentional, aspirational, and beautifully told.”
From the art of luxury weddings to the secrets of high-end content creation, my blog is where refined living, brand storytelling, and timeless aesthetics come together. Whether you’re planning a wedding, elevating your brand, or simply curating a more beautiful life, this is your destination for luxury-inspired storytelling. Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Nearly a decade ago, I took a leap of faith and launched my wedding planning company—without ever having planned a wedding, not even my own. With a background in event planning and marketing, I trusted that if I knew I could make it, I was allowed to “fake it” just a little. That bold risk paid off, and over the years, my small business evolved into a sought-after luxury wedding planning brand.
Today, I take on only a select number of high-end weddings each year, curating bespoke celebrations for an extraordinary clientele—including pro golfers, Olympic gold medalists, and top influencers. Each event is a new creative challenge, and I cherish the personal connections and relationships I’ve built along the way.
Now, as I expand my brand beyond weddings, I’m bringing the same level of artistry and storytelling to luxury content creation. Through my new lifestyle platform, I collaborate with companies to refine their digital presence, blending my expertise in design, styling, and branding. Whether crafting unforgettable weddings or elevating brands with high-end content, my passion lies in creating beauty, telling compelling stories, and helping others bring their visions to life.
How did you build your audience on social media?
When I first launched my business, social media played a role in success, but nowhere near the level of influence it holds today. In the digital landscape, businesses now have mere seconds to capture attention before potential clients scroll past. Staying relevant requires not only establishing an online presence but continuously adapting to new trends and technologies.
Looking back at my early Instagram posts and marketing materials, I can’t help but cringe—but that evolution is necessary. Growth in business comes from refining your brand, learning from experience, and embracing change. In today’s market, a strong social media presence isn’t optional—it’s essential. If your brand is missing that crucial puzzle piece, I’d love to connect and help you build a digital presence that truly elevates your business.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I firmly believe that success in business comes from pouring your heart and soul into it—because no one will care about your business as much as you do. As a small business owner, you have to wear many hats, but the key to long-term growth is adaptability. The ability to pivot, refine your approach, and stay intentional with your branding makes all the difference.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that the content you put out directly influences the clients you attract. If your portfolio is filled with barn weddings, you’ll naturally draw couples looking for that aesthetic. On the other hand, if you showcase luxury weddings, you’ll attract high-end clientele who align with that vision. I’ve been intentional about curating my brand’s presence—both on social media and my website—to reflect the level of weddings I want to plan.
Not every wedding I’ve designed makes it onto my Instagram or website—not because it wasn’t beautiful, but because strategic marketing means positioning your business for the type of clients and events you want to attract. This mindset has played a significant role in growing my brand, and it’s a strategy I continue to refine as the industry evolves.
