Jessica , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful you must be consistent , motivated , focused , dedicated , hard work . I Can go into so many aspects of becoming successful, but you write your own script . Whatever it is that you are into put your everything into it , take risks . You want to make mistakes , you want to make poor decisions, you want learn from all of those; that’s how you become successful.

Jessica , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Jessica Santos , I’m the CEO and creative director of Jessica Santos Events /Studio J. I started this venture in 2013. Taking a leap and jumping into baking , made me want to go deeper into the industry. So I begin to design , plan , style , coordinate events . It went so well I opened a venue space to accommodate clients that wanted a party but didn’t have a space .. I provide an experience like no other. The venue is a unique, creative hub located in Miami Florida. With art and personalized touches , the venue creates an atmosphere where guests can kick back , flick up , and enjoy themselves. The experience and memorable moments comes from me . I love parties , I love great times , I live to see people experiencing a good time . I’m a firm believer of living life to the fullest . I’m most definitely proud of my success in my industry in such short time. There are several awesome creatives in my area , but it’s my experience, my energy and my dedication that keeps the flow of clients coming in .
Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
Absolutely, I offer bartending , created an experience called cake n trap ( a urban diy cake decorating class ), I also offer occasional catering, created a planning service for funeral planning , I offer notary, and I will be starting a bartending class to help with job placement.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I funded everything from the cake investment, to buying necessary inventory to the venue . But I wish I didn’t . It’s cool when you don’t have to pay anyone back, but it’s better to use someone else’s money as well . These are all lessons that you’ll learn in your journey . I saved and used money from each event and order to fund my business .
