We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Rosario a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

I believe that in order to be successful, you will need to be very persistent. It takes a lot of work. You need to have determination. Staystay focus on what you want. If something goes wrong, you have to move forward and start all over again. Don’t let failures bring you down. You have to be very positive and believe in yourself, even if you have no one to support you. You need to be confident about your abilities.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am Jessica businesswoman who has a passion for event decorations. I love bringing happiness to others through my creativity. I am the mom of two amazing boys who play sports. I am currently studying to finish my nursing degree to pursue my nurse practitioner career. Lol, you could imagine how my days off are besides my business and everything I have. I’m never off, lol. I’m always running around for games, practices, and clients.

I work as a medical assistant in urgent care and am currently finishing my BA in
Nursing to continue my education as a nurse practitioner.I am an event designer and a balloon artist. I am currently working on my CBA certificate to become a certified balloon artist. I started my business in my homeland, Puerto Rico, 18 years ago when I lost my job, so I decided to give it a try and do what I loved most, beside my nursing career. They are different careers but very similar in that I am able to serve people, and it is very satisfying when customers or patients are satisfied with your work. I really love doing decorations.

Making decorations has always been my passion. It’s something that I enjoy and do with all my heart. I start doing events for my family, and that’s when I find out that I love and enjoy doing decorations. In this industry, you have to keep building your skills because customers love new and creative designs. You must have an active imagination to come up with exciting decorations to stand out from the rest. Staying organized is the key to the balloon business. What sets me apart from others is that I really work with passion and enjoy what I do. I don’t do the same style in every setting; I try to do something different for each of my clients. If I have materials in my inventory and I know my client decoration will be stunning with those items, I will include them in the decoration without extra charge. Every detail is important to me, from the quality of the balloons to the materials used. That’s what makes me different from the rest. For me, it is more important to please my customers and meet and exceed all of their expectations. I always go beyond what they expect.

My husband and kids work with me is a family business. I want to demonstrate to all the women out there and to my own kids that if you have a dream, you are never too late to make it happen. If you think you have much on your plate or are too late to accomplish your dream, I will tell you that nothing is impossible when you do it with determination, perseverance, and hard work. I consider myself a full-time mom, a full-time nurse, and a full-time balloon artist, and everything that I do I do with love and passion. I consider myself a 360 woman capable of doing anything that I propose. Why 360 woman because It I am a woman who is well-rounded, multifaceted, and empowered. I’m very independent, confident, and capable of handling diverse challenges and responsibilities.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

My recommendation to someone who is just starting out in business is to keep up with posting on social media, including personal photos of oneself so that potential clients can get to know you. ensuring daily usage of social media. Asking your loved ones to share your content on social media. answering comments. Ensure that your website functions well and is user-friendly on mobile devices. A few days ago, a client I work with informed me that she made a reservation with me after observing my prompt reaction.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
