Jessica , appreciate you joining us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
When I began the project at Bokeh Lounge,I came to work for the owner at the time as a manager, my task was to rebrand and rebuild the business, we could not change the name of the business, some came the task of re branding! As as time went by the then one of the partners relinquished their shares to me so I partnered in on Bokeh lounge !
Jessica , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been Bartending and Managing bars for 30 plus years at the time I arrived at Bokeh Lounge ! I think staying in my lane and just putting my nose to the grind stone! And working hard and not complaining gets you where you need to be!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Yes when my husband had a heart attack , had to leave a job, and while I was off work taking care of him I was offered this position, also right after I had partnered in at bokeh Covid hit, talk about pivots!
