Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica McIntee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Being successful requires hard work, patience, prayer and meditation.
If someone is not willing to put in the work and effort to accomplish their goals, the road to success may be a little more challenging.
Patience is number 1 in any success story. The process of success takes time and can’t be rushed.
Prayer and meditation is important for work life balance. Being balanced in all areas of life helps a person mentally; physically, spiritually and emotionally.
Jessica , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Beauty is relevant to most individuals on this Earth. In many cases the way we look affects how we feel about ourselves and our self confidence.
I started styling hair at the age of 12 and that’s when I first noticed my gift. Over time I practiced different techniques and learned how to complete a variety of styles. Immediately after high school, I received my Cosmetology license, which allowed me to go deeper into my craft.
As a business owner, I have learned how to organize and manage effectively in different events and crisis. I am most proud of my discipline and balance that I have attained through the years. I am also joyful about expanding in different states and locations.
I have worked hard in both of my businesses and I am excited about the future for each one.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Before officially opening my brick & mortar, I keep several jobs. I was a cashier; leasing agent, student assistant and production scheduler. Throughout each job, I always styled hair on the side.
When I worked an 8-5, I did hair at my home before and after work. I had a great set up and loved the money. After I noticed the amount of money I was making part-time styling hair, I began to transition. I told myself, “If I can make this amount of money part- time, I can only imagine what I could make full time”.
I can honestly say that this has been the best decision for my life. I set my own hours, prices and I have more control over my life.
Any advice for managing a team?
The best advice that I can give about managing a team and maintaining high morale is:
*Always do the right thing.
*Correct yourself first and always move with love and with the right intentions.
*Respect yourself & everyone else.
* Be a great example.
*DO NOT SKIP PRAYER & MEDITATION.
